On August 14th my wife and I smelled gas, I called ********* (our supplier) and they promptly sent out someone to check for leaks, as it turned out there was a valve outside was on by mistake. The technician also noted that our tank was old and should be replaced and that he would put an order in for a new tank. One and half weeks later (8/22) still no new tank, however we received an invoice for $443.20 ($99.99 dispatch fee and $299.25 emergency call) for the service call. I dealt with this company years ago before they started outsourcing and they were great. Now they are HORRIBLE. I ordered gas which by the way took me three phone calls and hours of time. I overlooked it. They gave me a date, fine. I later got a text message stating that my gas would be arriving early and would be there the next day and someone would have to be there. Bought a home with Amerigas service. Company decided to close account and pull tank which was 70% full, without notification. I showed up one day and tank was gone with ruts in yard. I had no idea what had happened. Amerigas made credit check in previous owners name who is now deceased, so it cant be cashed. Amerigas sent a tech out on 8/22/24 to look at our cracked propane cover lid. He left after ten minutes after he took a measurement. The morning of 8/24/24 we receive a bill for over $5000 which included 25 hours of labor. We tried calling the local number on the invoice and it isnt operable. We had to wait until Monday 8/26/24 to call to dispute the bill. We were told billing takes place in **** and it will be one to two weeks for a call back.

There is no return policy listed anywhere in their tank exchange cages. Never had a propane tank before, so we decided to get one, along with a grill. Turns out we can't keep a tank in our apartment inside or out, so I wanted tu return it. I went back within an hour of put chance, and was denied a refund. 7-11 claimed it was in AmeriGas' hands, AmeriGas claimed it was up to 7-11. Their best suggestion was to call the city to have the brand new, full tank scrapped. Lost $75 for a simple mistake with absolutely no solution.

They are terrible, you can't understand them as their accents are so strong. They have no clue.They screwed up my order and I am sure they will make it even worse.I cancelled the order and I will use someone else. If I could give them no stars, I would.

After several attempts and conversations, both verbally and electronically about the removal of their propane tank it still sets in my yard. I called August 6th to cancel service and to come get the tank. They told me previously that they would need 7 business days notice to remove it. It was scheduled for August 15th. I have voicemail and saved chat mail that confirm that. I took a day off from work to be there when they were to come. No show!!! They charged me a week in advance for 300 gallons, then delivered less than 300. They tried to bill me more for less gallons. I am still waiting on credit. They demanded a credit check to use my credit card, so crazy.

My mother passed away in 2020. Her home which was serviced by Amerigas was sold in the late summer of last year. I spoke with Amerigas (overseas call center, broken English) about closing the account. They closed the account, and assured me that all bills had been paid. In the year that has followed I continue to be sent late fees and pending charges for an account that I was assured was closed.
