We've had positive experiences with Amerigas. *********** is responsive. Website is easy to use, best for placing orders. Text messages provided concerning order status. Price is typically lowest in our area.
I put in a request for a fill the beginning of the week and my tank was filled on Friday!Delivery was handled by *********************.He read my note requesting a call before delivery and actually called an hour before his arrival! He was kind, friendly and knew his job! We will use Americagas again and hope ***** remains our delivery person!

Getting to the right people to resolve an issue is a nightmare. Obviously the customer service is all overseas and/or they only hire people who speak minimal English. BUT - I will say once we got through that maze of human interaction (which took us over 2 weeks of calling), the local customer service people here in Jacksonville FL did an excellent job of quickly resolving our issue. I wish I could give them a negative star rating because thats what they deserve. We Purchased a home that already had an amerigas tank. Called around for pricing and found a company much cheaper than AmeriGas called this morning to stop service and have someone come and pick up the tank and they charge $199 for a disconnection fee and $199 to come and pick up the tank. We have used Amerigas on and off for our propane needs over the years. Overall, they have maintained competitive gas prices. However, in July of this year, we felt they took total advantage of us. We suspected a gas leak at our owned tank. We had purchased the tank from a company that Amerigas had previously purchased. We called, and they promptly sent a representative to test for a leak and fix it if needed. There was a leak, and the representative replaced a regulator in two hours. Unfortunately I cannot rate them zero stars. The absolute worst customer service! And to make matters worse, they really do NOT care! Wait times are are often 1 hour plus to speak to a representative. Nobody can resolve anything, They will transfer you for additional wait times and you can almost bet on a dropped call on a transfer, to only have to do it all over again. Run don't walk. Do not do business with AMERIGAS. After 25 years of dedicated business with Amerigas, finding out they were charging 2 times more per gallon for propane, than local provider, we requested our account closed. They won't give the customer credit for fuel in tank already paid them and now want $419.00+ some cents to pick up their old dated tank at residence at their convenience. This Company takes advantage of consumer basic needs with outrageous fees and charges. If you report smelling gas they will come out shut your gas off without detecting where the leak originated In my case, it was my neighbor who was experiencing a leak. And then charge you a $200 reconnect fee. There is a monthly rental fee you pay for their equipment topped with a over $200 fee they charge for picking up their own tank.
