I think they did a pawsome job with my girls DNA. Spot on guys. Job well done
Most of the information was accurate.
The DNA analysis was great and informative. However, the various attributes listed didn't match my dog's traits. I would suggest asking owners to list where they match and don't match so that you have a large database to fine-tune the attributes.
I waited less than a month from time of swab to results, and I was kept informed along the way. I'm very pleased with the whole process, and now I know breed characteristics and personalities that can help with health, training, and more of the newest member of our family. I highly recommend Ancestry Pet DNA, and have already recommended to friends.
It was a long process to get the results and I think that some of my dogs dna is quite interesting. I thought the pug was unrecognizable. The small poodle is very interesting. His coat has some curl. I thought it was cute that some of his traits were spot on.
What we really wanted was ‘traits’ such that we could plan a training program. It was very insightful and explained behaviors we were witnessing (nipping at heels —> cattle dog was the largest % match)
I thought my little Betty was a 10# Rat Terrier only to discover that she was 100% Chihuahua. What a big surprise! I lost the bet, everyone else thought was a Chihuahua. Oh Well, We love her anyway.
Easy, seems accurate
It seemed much slower than prior experience with another brand and while the communication was acceptable, I kept wondering how long steps may take. Once we received the results, the information was very limited and a bit underwhelming. We will be repeating the DNA test with the other beans we used previously and I wish I hadn’t spent $70+ on this test.
