Get directionsWe always have their card handy. We have used them may times over many decades. It is reassuring that they are open when our vet is closed
Several years ago, I took my cat, Buddy, to AERA for a serious hernia and lung problem. It seems that Buddy had probably been hit by a car prior to being rescued off the streets by me and his intestines were intruding into his lung space. Dr. Chris Hunt was the surgeon who performed the surgery and he did a FANTASTIC job!! After surgery, Buddy did not want to eat so Dr. Hunt invited me over to feed Buddy myself (and he ate)! Within just a couple of days, my Buddy was running around and, for the first time since I brought... read more
I was referred to this place by my regular vet due to adopting a new dog with severe generalized anxiety. I feel as if the behaviorist crew really cares about my pet and is offering alternatives to drug therapy. Great group of people
We recently brought one of our dogs here in an emergency on a Sunday. We were recommended as well and couldn't be happier. The place is immaculate. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The facility is large and they were getting the other patients into to the many examining rooms rather quickly. They price was fair given it was an emergency and a Sunday. We saw Dr Davis, she was great, patient and very informative. I will use them again and highly recommend them to anyone. My dog is doing well thanks to Dr Davis and... read more
Dr higgins and the staff here should be commended for being passionate about their profession our kitten Lola was sick for a week ..unfortunately there was nothing they could do for her and we had to put her to sleep. We loved her very much but the compassion from this hospital made a difficult time for us much more manageable. Thank you
We came here because my cat Lola suffered a paw injury and I was unable to take her to her regular vet since it was a Saturday night. Lola was seen about 3 mins after checking into the ER and treated for her injury. The service here was amazing and everything was done in a timely manner. This place is very expensive but the service is top notch.
Our rescue, Jeremiah Bear, had some behavior issues we wanted addressed - after reaching out to trainers, we were just not happy with their methods. But when JB starting being very aggressive to someone he'd previously been friendly with we knew we had to get serious. JB's vet, Dr. Adelsohn referred us to AERA, we met with Dr. Levine, set up a treatment plan, which was explained in detail to us by Deb. Have had behavior sessions with Susie and we are seeing a brand new JB! We are so happy!
I went in on Saturday night (Halloween). My beagle was having trouble walking and getting up from the floor. Dr. Carr was excellent. Very kind and caring. Explained everything. The girls at the front desk were great too. So glad there is a place like this open to help care for my pets on off hours. I thought the price was reasonable. It is an emergency hospital and people here should not complain about the price but be grateful that they are here providing excellent care when your regular vet's office is closed. Thank you... read more
Overall, I am glad that I took my cat to get treated for an emergency problem over the weekend (she had a urinary tract infection) - she was in agony and I didn't know what to do. I was very impressed with the appearance of the facility, as well as with the staff and medical personnel - they seemed to be genuinely concerned for my cat. My only complaint (and it's a serious one) is that I nearly choked when they gave me the bill for $447!!! Considering my cat was there for less than an hour and only needed antibiotics, I was ... read more
