Dr. Levine and Debra her assistant are both so nice and helpful. We had our first appointment this morning and it went very well. They were organized, on time and Dr. Levine spent almost an hour sitting on the floor analyzing my pet and offering suggestions to help my pet with her anxiety. Then Debra came in to help go over the treatment packages. I cannot speak on the progress as we haven't started anything suggested yet but in terms of the appointment, organization, and knowledge we highly recommend Dr. Levine. We look for... read more

This place and the brilliant team of doctors saved my baby Bella! Long story short my bella was mis diagnosed with what they thought was an autoimmune disease for 3 agonizing months. ( at another animal hospital) it seemed for a short time she was improving but she became very gravely. I knew something else was happening that this doctor wasn't finding, So I brought her in for a second opinion to AERA. BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE. dr staruss and dr Kantrowitz wasted no time. Bella stayed for 2 days because she was in desperate ... read more

My sweet, spunky girl is going to bankrupt me with vet fees. No, really. We're likely putting our regular vet's future children through college at this point. Just to keep things interesting, though, our girl decided to hurt herself on a Sunday. And by hurt, I mean she tore the nail on her dew claw well above the quick. She was bleeding and kept fussing with the broken nail that was still partially attached. This is not the type of injury that is easy to treat on your own, and she was not tolerating the bandage we put on her... read more

We had a bad experience here, unfortunately, with Barry Stuart, who handled our cat Sargie's care. I would give Dr. Stuart 1 star, but I don't want to speak for the rest of the staff at the hospital so I have given a 3 star rating. Sargie came for a visit because he hadn't eaten in two days and was having some bloody diarrhea and we had to go out of town the next day so he was going to be watched by our mom. Dr. Stuart refused to check his stool sample and came up with a long list of very costly medical tests that didn't fol... read more

On behalf of my family and myself, I would like to thank the staff that took care of our dog when we brought her in in the middle of the night. She was not doing well, and they wasted no time finding the problem. Unfortunately, our girls prognosis was not good. We had Dr. Berenstein, and she was so extremely pleasant. She talked us through our options and offered us a lot of support when we decided to spare our girl the suffering. The whole team was so kind to us, especially my mom who was having the hardest time. Again, Dr.... read more

I don't even know where to begin with how much we owe to AERA. My 1 1/2 year old dog was hit by a car two weeks ago. The local vet highly recommended AERA, and we were more than impressed with everything about the facility, the doctors, and the care our dog received. The doctors and the techs knew and understood how scared we were, and let us stay all night the first night so we could be nearby. He got the highest level of care and we were given constant updates. After we left we could call anytime, day or night, to check on... read more

If your pet need emergency veterinary care, this is the place to go off-hours. My wife and I have twice had to take her parakeet here, and you can tell the staff really knows what they are doing.
