One week ago today, I brought my little Whitley here. She had a temp of 103.8. The vet did an ultrasound and x-ray and reported to me that she had a hemangiomasarcoma on her spleen and needed a splenectomy. My reaction was "she was just fine this morning". She also informed me that with or without surgery--without chemo--my Will-Will would die in 3-5 months. You can only imagine my grief. I said absolutely to the surgery until another person walked in with the "proposal" of $3000-$4700!! She asked me if I wanted a moment to ... read more
Horrible place! Took my cat there, I felt like people were inadequate, I paid $800 for one night, in the morning they called me me to go and take the cat home, and i confirmed the final price with them, it took me around hour and a half to get there so when i did, the price had already gone up because of extra hospitalization fees, although nothing was done to the cat in that hour and a half. I asked the owner to wave the hour and a half of hospitalization charges she turned to me and said "Sorry, this is a business, I'm ... read more
Business response:
Mr. Talov, It is unfortunate that you feel charging a reasonable price for our services somehow equates to non-compassionate care. This is a common misconception when veterinarians have to address finances to provide care to clients' pets. Hospitalization charges cover the cost of food, electricity to run medical machinery, monitoring by our technicians and the overall expense incurred providing services in veterinary medicine, not to mention emergency medicine 24 hours a day. A treatment plan was presented last night... read more

I took my baby there after being hit by a car. They barely paid any attention to him. We were there almost 5 hrs! They told me he didn't have a fractured leg and tried to get me to take more X-rays for of course more money! I did a follow up today with my local vet who showed me the x rays and even as novice as I am, the fracture was clear as day!!!! If you want high quality care that matches the bill, find another ER Vet!
Business response:
Hi Gina, we are sorry to hear that your baby has a broken leg. Our notes indicate that the Dr suspected a possible fracture of the ulna; however additional radiographs to confirm a fracture were declined. The ER was very busy that night, and unfortunately we have to triage and focus on who is the most critical, rather than the order in which the patients arrive. I understand your baby was here a long time, and we're sorry you do not feel as though he received adequate attention. When you returned to discuss X-ray result... read more
Whatever you do DONT take your pet there the folks that work there are very nice but the Doctor that I dealt with was awful!!!!!! Her name is Sorentino when I asked questions she was very vague and confused She said my dog had pancreatitis but yet the vet next door said he had gastrointestinal problems so we ran another full set of tests that he didn’t need all they want to do is get your money they could care less about your pet When I went to pick my dog up I had to ask to see her to ask more questions to which she had to ... read more
Business response:
Maureen thank you for rating our clinic and support staff as a five star. However, I feel your review of Dr. Sorrentino is unfair and unjustified. As I told you we are presently looking into the misunderstanding that occurred this morning. Dr. Sorrentino followed your veterinarians plan of treatment which she verbally told her was pancreatitis. Dr. Sorrentino did NOT diagnose your pet with that disease, you vet did. In fact, she recommended the tests to rule out pancreatitis since the labs that your primary vet ran did ... read more

This was the only vet that was open on 9/9 due to Hurricane Irma when our dog starting having breathing and coughing problems. Unfortunately on the car ride to the vet, our dog passed away in my arms. When we got there, they took her in the back. The 2 vet techs that were there were SO SWEET and we appreciate their kindness so much. But the doctor himself, Dr Holifield (the only reason I know his name was because I saw it on facebook, because he didn't even introduce himself in the room with us) REALLY needs to work on h... read more

Thank You Kristine.
This is my third visit here, this will be my last. It seems to me they're used to dealing with overly concerned, wealthy people, not with normal people with normal amounts of income. Every time I've been there, they've offered a ridiculously expensive battery of tests without any idea of what the problem may be. This time, almost $1000 worth of tests looking 'for something in his heart' refusing to say what they were looking for. Waited until the morning, took to his regular vet, nothing wrong with his heart, walked out of... read more
Business response:
Jim, As difficult as this is to read after our staff offered care and compassion, for the last 4 days, to three counties as the only ER or veterinary service available, many coming in from their damaged homes to help the pets of our community, your review is welcomed. Your pet's case will be reviewed and addressed, I am pleased that your primary veterinarian was able to open for business, and make a diagnosis without diagnostics, truly a gifted veterinarian. In the future, there are three other emergency veterinary clin... read more
