******BOYCOTT THIS NEWPORT HILLS ANIMAL HOSPITAL********** I called to get prices for services over the phone prior to coming in with a rescue cat.. When I finished my visit, the prices I had been given (and dually noted by writing them down- and brought with me) were not honnored. The person I spoke with WHO OFFERED THE FEES a few days prior identified herself as Jenny, Office Manager. I went to this hospital to get our cat, Cyd, checked. I was told by a friend it was too expensive, but Cyd had been there before with a previous owner, so I went. It was expensive beyond belief. I told the Vet to only do 3 tests that would have totalled $118.00,(WOW), but she added more tests and treatment without telling me for a total of $330.54 ! Stay far away from them. I like my own Vet in Bellevue much better....and he has never charged me more than about $70.00 even with meds!
This used to be an amazing hospital and it had been a few years since we had taken our pet there. they got us in quickly for my puppy's first check up and his ears smelled horrible so i asked the Dr about it and he told me they were just dirty, which being a Vet assistant i know he probably was getting an ear infection seeing as he is a cocker spaniel, he never even looked in the ears and just gave him his shot. later we took my mom's new dog from the shelter there because she was making a weird coughing nose and they tol... read more

When my Snowball (ferret) suddenly passed away, without warning, I rushed him into AHNH b/c I was confident they would be able to quickly determine his cause of death and put my mind at ease (necropsies on ferrets MUST be performed within 2-3 days MAX of the ferrets passing in order to get accurate findings.
