Apco gave us a good bid for the price of replacing our windows in a 70 plus year old home. They came out and did an acceptable job installing the windows. After about six or seven months with the new windows, we found that the bathroom window was leaking when we had a hard rain. We called them to seek assistance to resolve this problem so it wouldn't ruin our wood work around the windows and flooring in the bathroom. The rain that came in left large puddles on the bathroom floor. It took several calls to get some one to actu... read more

I've been a home owner for over twenty years and have hired several different companies for home improvements, this is the first time I ever took the time to write a negative review, that's how displeased I am. APCO was the absolute worst, not only their service but their actual product too. It took them over three years to "fix" the door they installed. Literally couldn't lock the door for months without using WD-40. I have my fingers crossed that I don't have the same problem as the door expands/contracts throughout the se... read more

APCO install my windows on October 5th 2022, The windows were very hard to clean and I have had several windows installed in my house before and never had I ever had to take a razor blade to clean the debris off of the windows and the installer had to come back that evening with a spray bottle and put some type of cleaner on all of the windows to take off the debris. He said that the windows comes like that often and it is up to us to clean them however he did return and left my house at 8:30 that night after he cleaned all ... read more
Business response:
We are very sorry. This is not the norm. Although we did work into the evening on the day you reported the problem to get it resolved, we are very sorry that we did satisfy you. Thank you for taking the time to write this review. It has been discussed with the product manager in order to keep this type of problem from happening again.
Would 100% not recommend this company to outsource any of your home improvements. I feel that I was lead in the wrong direction with ordering windows and doors for a renovation and received HORRIBLE communication along the way. I do not usually take it to the next step and write reviews, but I definitely do not want anyone else to have to deal with what I have for the last year. Look elsewhere and definitely dont order Plygem windows!
Extremely disorganized and evasive management. Demanded payment before the job was completed and threatened to increase the amount on the invoice if we didn't. The job was started 2.5 months after pre-arranged start date (arranged by APCO). Had to call multiple times to get any communication at all. Job is still incomplete 4 months after original start date.
Business response:
I do apologize for any miscommunication throughout your home improvement projects with APCO. I just spoke with the project coordinator for the gutters department. Pending good weather, we will be able to finish the project hopefully by weeks end. Please feel free to call us with any other concerns you may have: ************.
APCO is unable to complete work that was in contract April 2019. Still waiting. Every step of the way it seems that I am waiting or my work order is put in cue and they get to me whenever its my turn again. CS is unable to provide help with scheduling or priority scheduling. Why is followup or rescheduling appointments for door installation required - Great question!? Because they failed to deliver what was ordered the first time. First installation appointment was in late August. Thats how long it took to get my doors and o... read more
Business response:
We are very sorry. The lock was received and installed the following day. The project should now be completed. We failed to inform the customer that special order product takes longer, to order matching locks, and to get the install of the new locks completed causing another reorder. All of this extended the lead time. Also, we may have been calling the wrong number as we made multiple attempts to schedule and did not hear back from the customer. Again, we are very sorry that this happened. We have had made strides internall... read more
Letter to Apco: 10/27/2019 Mr. C******, I received an estimate from Apco for the replacement of two doors and five windows. Once, ordered, there was, what we felt, an excessive delay of several months for the product to arrive. At no time did Apco call that the product was in. I had to call several times and was made to feel at though the call was a bother to the company. Of course, the original quoted price went up when the product arrived, due to “unforeseen” circumstances. Think about that. This is what you do. There are ... read more

We are very sorry for this delay. We were able to start on Mr. ******** project within two days of this review being submitted. Per a conversation I had with Mr. ****** after the installation he told me is was very happy with the end product.
The team working on my house was fired during the middle of installing siding. Took an extra couple months to finish. They didn't put new backboard in certain sections. A downspout wasn't put back and I had to get a new one and install it myself.
Business response:
We greatly apologize and thank you so much for the review. This will be further examined so we can improve.
Don't waste your time or money. It took 4 months for Apco to correctly install 6 Marvin wood windows. We had problems from the start: no communication, no contact person (the salesman didn't want to take my calls after the sale was over), the wrong color coil was installed outside, when replaced, the new coil was bent with sharp edges, the wrong size trim was installed inside, the trim wasn't painted (even though I paid for pre-painted trim). The bottom line is that Apco is too busy to care about the customer. I spent $8,000... read more
