Apex put a roof on my house. I am now delayed in selling my house because they didn't submit a payoff release. I have been calling and emailing for days with no responses. This is unprofessional.
I should have know better than to respond to a door solicitation. On October 23, 2019, I unfortunately listened to the scam sales person from Apex Roofing and Restoration say that there was hail damage on my roof and they would help me submit a claim to my insurance company for a new roof. On November 11, 2019, that claim was denied and it has been a nightmare and giant void with Apex Roofing and Restoration ever since. Two guys came from apex told me there's an 85 percent chance the insurance would pay for a new roof but there really wasn't anything they saw to really worry about. About three weeks after they were up on my roof there's a shingle that's appeared to look ripped and flipped up from what I believe to be some wind we had . The short of it is I'm no dummie that shingle was lifted up and torn several places on that one shingle right were the guy pointed when up there no other shingles damaged just that one that I can see . In response to the review of our company. Our business practices do not operate this way. Per your own review, you believed the damage to be wind related. The gentlemen came off your roof and left the premises. They did not continue a discussion that would lead you to believe you needed a new roof.
Apex roofing is running a scam and they're taking advantage of a single mom. This is not okay! My insurance company paid out over $20,000 to replace my roof. Apex roofing received the check and NEVER DID THE WORK. I sold the house with the roof unrepaired and Apex is still hanging onto the check. Unacceptable! Update: I sold my home while the claim was pending. By the time I was made aware that a settlement had been reached, I was no longer in possession of the home. Therefore, work did not commence. It has now been almost a month since they claim to have sent a check to my insurer and yet my insurer has not received anything from Apex. Apex does not respond to me anymore. I had a very bad experience with this company and would never recommend them. The English-speaking employees in management and customer service talk a good game, but they force the customer to deal with a crew that only speaks Spanish. When the crew was supposing done with my roof, they left supplies--rolls of tar paper, cans of roofing cement, box of nails, and 8 sheets of plywood--indiscriminately laying all over my grass and driveway. Someone from Apex came to do a roof inspection while doing another job in our neighborhood. They found some damage they thought would be covered by our insurance and helped us file a claim. When the insurance adjustor reviewed the damage, they decided not to cover the repairs. As customers, we were prepared to move forward without funding from the insurance company, but Apex never sent us a quote and dropped our job when we decided not to pursue getting funding from the insurance company. Apex Roofing did a fine job on our roof....but they damaged our stamped concrete driveway, smashed a downspout, bent a garage light, and were careless with some kind of substance that killed the tops off of several bushes. It's been three weeks now and nobody has taken care of anything. I can cut them some slack on the driveway because that requires the original company to come out, but the downspout is such a simple repair and their promises have been lies. Terrible company. Sham job run by tweeked out smoothed tongues In Polo shirts and seems to be a web of people connected with the sole intent on getting as much money for themselves under the "business" façade. Their money comes at whatever and whoever's detriment. As a business owner I'm baffled how they have stayed in business. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. *********************
