Can I rate this 1/4 star? That's being nice! They will try to hustle you, make you spend more money than needed to make it so you have to keep going back. What an all around horrible experience at Arroyo Veterinary Center! From not only trying to hustle me, but giving my lab medicine that just made him worse! I took my cat Hayden to this clinic last March for a Urinary Tract Infection and received antibiotics that took care of the problem. I was told BY the Veterinarian that after the first UTI, occurrences can become more frequent and to CALL in with the same symptoms for a refill. It is now the following January and my kitty has another UTI with the same standard symptoms. Found this place on yelp and amongst the list of results from my search of Vets within Livermore, Arroyo appeared to be the best place to go. My pup has not been a patient here so this review does not have to do with their veterinary service. However, they have lost a potential patient due to their online appointment request service. The doctors and nurses here are amazing. Very friendly and sweet...great with both the animals and the customers who bring them in. The ladies at the front desk on the other hand...horrible. I went in for a vet visit and, upon check out, the receptionist took a call just as she was telling me my follow up appointment date. After waiting 5 minutes I had to ask someone else to find my follow up date so I could leave. This took another several minutes as she had to finish what she was doing first. If I could give this place no stars at all, I would. They discharged my terminally ill dog, refused to talk to us over the phone, and refuse to see my dog ever again all because of a misunderstanding over medication. My dog was really sick over the weekend from the prednisone he has been taking for his cancer. He was vomiting and had diarrhea, we normally take him to Jules in Tracy, but we are now closer to Arroyo, so we went there since it was an emergency. I will never go back to this vet. Was referred by a rescue group for some feral cats I take care of. The staff told the referral I was rude and interrupted a client they were talking to and that I am banned. What??? Total lies. The receptionis was totally rude to me when I questioned bogus charges on my bill. This is why I take my own cats to Altamont Cat Hospital!
