We have been going to this yet for years but recently the experience has been awful. Last year my small dog was viciously attacked by another animal in the office to the point his flesh was torn from the muscle in his neck and he had puncture wounds that couldn't be closed for weeks. We had to clean a tube that was stuck into the gaping hole, all the while my dog was in terrible pain and coned. This could have been reasonably prevented if better controls were in place for animals in the waiting room with aggression issues... read more

Zero rating is more correct! I called the office right at 8:00 am Saturday morning. The receptionist answers and I explained my dog was at their office a couple weeks prior and they diagnosed my dog with vestibular. My dog has been on medicine which the vet prescribed and instead of getting better she is having worse seizures. The receptionist said she would have the nurse call me when she came in. I thanked her and hung up. At 2:00 pm Saturday I called the office back and asked why I didn't get a call from the nurse? She a... read more

My boy used to be a patient here until one unfortunate day we had to make an emergency visit. I called them and told them that my dog was vomiting foamy substance and was drowsy. They told me to bring him asap and mentioned that it would be an emergency appointment with 95$ charges. I was fine with the charges and took him there. This turned out to be the worst decision I ever made. I was told to sit in a room and wait for the doctor, I sat and waited there for over 1 hour but the doctor did not come. Finally I just came ba... read more

I was not going to post this, but reading other posts, I decided it important. I agree their prices are astronomical, and I felt like they were always "selling" me services I don't need, they would not talk to me and give me advice, just simply offered two different treatment plans (an expensive one, and a less expensive one). You will initially see a doctor, but they don't discuss the issue with you in detail, they then send in a technician with the two different treatment plans; no more doctor to ask questions of. I feel ... read more

So, it's official, the office staff broke me. We went in for a simple blood draw and after I'd paid I'm told, "he's due for a vaccine"; AFTER I'd already put him back in the car. She followed me out to the car, administered the vaccine charged me again and then said "oops! he's actually due for another vaccine". FORGET IT. Then, the blood draw comes back and they tell me they will refill the meds. I arrive to pick up the meds and I'm told that I never called back and therefore I will have to wait for my prescription. (a... read more

Not happy with the service I received. I was paying for the bill since my dog was the one who bit the dog we brought in. Being that we have done fostering in the past, they knew us. You would think they would have not tried to take advantage of us. They tried to charge an additional fees for a short stay? Do you really need the extra $20.00 bucks? The dog was not staying. After we questioned the additional cost, and a roll of eyes, they came back to tell us the dog needed another stich? When I asked to see the area I was... read more

The people are nice, the office is nice, the doctors are good. I have two complaints: 1. The prices are astronomical here.. They charge wayyyyyyyyyyyyy more for everything here than many other vets in Livermore. They have some scam about having to charge you for an office visit just to come in for a vaccine. 2. They asked me if I wanted to prepay for the next few vaccinations my dog was going to need so I could avoid paying their office visit fee so I did it. They never called, emailed or texted me a reminder to come ... read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. The worst bedside manner I've ever seen. Took my 12 year old GSD in because he was vomiting and had vertigo. I know problems arise wth older dogs, but without doing a full exam, I was getting quoted $900. I explained that some of the things they wanted to do were done at another vet recently (blood work) and I was aware of and know how to treat some of the things that could be ailing him (ear infections- he's lived with them his how life). I asked if it was an ear infection and if it was,... read more

Found this place on Yelp. I was looking for a new vet as we just moved here. My two dachshunds needed rabies shots so they asked me if I wanted a three year shot. Under their advice, I took it. Well that evening my female had a reaction so I took her to Sage since Arroyo was closed. Cost me $350.00 and then in the morning my male also had a reaction. I took him back to Arroyo and another $350.00. Not a sorry or discount nothing. I should have known right then to go to another vet. Just recently I took my dogs back in to ... read more
