I recently contacted Arroyo Veterinary Center regarding a rescue cat with severe trauma. I was very impressed with Arroyo from the phone call to the end, when we decided euthanasia was the sad, but best option for this cat. Dr. Burnett's compassion, skill, knowledge, and patience made this difficult time more tolerable as I struggled with the ultimate decision. The staff at Arroyo Veterinary Center also made this a more tolerable experience with their kindness, compassion and willingness to help.

Great staff, fantastic vet, clean office, reasonable prices, and place to take "my boys" where they really do care!...what more can you ask for? By far the best in Livermore.

Arroyo Vet Clinic opened recently. I am new to Livermore and needed to find a good Vet Practice. I went in for a visit with my 2 dogs. The care, treatment, communication, explanation of the bill, follow up and professionalism was exactly what I had hoped for. I have had appointments with 2 different Veterinarians in the clinic and I felt they were knowledgeable and spent alot of time with my pets. The staff is also great. You can tell they care. If you are looking for a new veterinarian, do not hesitate to give them a ... read more

I am SOO glad that this veterinary clinic has opened. My dog ate a bunch of rat poison at 3:30 on a Saturday and luckily I had stopped by to see what the clinic offered the week before. so I knew that they were open. They acted immediately to help "Jake." The vet was very professional and discussed everything with me in an easy to understand manner. They stayed late to treat my dog who luckily is doing fine now. I recently moved to Livermore and did not have a vet for my four dogs. I am so happy now that I have a great vet c... read more

This is for the Livermore location. The people at the front desk are unprofessional, they can be cold and snotty . I am there to talk care of my baby and they should all show empathy to each and every client. You can tell they are understaffed. The tones in their voices really show what this vet is about. If the Vet, or owner does not care about that service, well ok. I am out of there with my pets. The staff at Paws of Pleasanton are a great example of great customer service. This Vet will not let the staff call another ... read more

Called to get pricing info on 2 cats for exam and shots. Lady that answered couldn't focus on what I said. Refused to give any prices, and when I repeated my questions, she hung up on me. RUDE. Found another Vet that was nice, answered my questions, gave the prices and set the appointment.

My experience with Arroyo Vet was a very sad and negative experience. I brought my sweet dog in for teeth cleaning and after spending a couple thousand dollars for tests, x-rays and drugs she was gone in less than 3 weeks. I felt some of the tests were unnecessary, such a worm test for a dying dog. The vet knew her stuff but I didn't feel the compassion or caring my previous vet had. For us our sweet dog was more than a dog she was my furry kid. One of the staff members recognized my loss, was compassionate and understood. I... read more

Business response:

Dear Sharon H., We are so sorry to hear you didn’t feel empathy about your little girl’s passing. I know the doctor who saw your pet was extremely concerned with how sick she was when you brought her in asking us to perform just a teeth cleaning. Her heart and lung problems, kidney disease, weight loss and diarrhea made the doctor recommend testing that was necessary to see if your sweet girl was healthy enough for the teeth cleaning you requested. Unfortunately, with all the testing we found out that she had kidney failure,... read more

I regret writing this review because the vets have been great. However, if you have an urgent need they can not help you. I have heard multiple times how they are "understaffed" or "have only one vet working." Hearing that over covid I could understand but this excuse has become stale. Today, when I received that same response once again, I explained that its not good and in short, the receptionist got defensive. If she would have had a little empathy it would have been appreciated. Also, its helpful for the pet and the ... read more

Business response:

We are so sorry that we were unable to accommodate you and your pet. Like the rest of the healthcare industry, veterinary clinics have struggled to recover from the pandemic’s impact. However, the industry’s staffing shortages have extended beyond the challenges of the pandemic. We are so grateful that we have several emergency hospitals in the area that we are able to refer our patients to when we have reached capacity, we hope they were able to provide your pet with the care they needed. In addition, we wanted to share tha... read more
