First negative review I've ever written in my almost 2 decades of using Yelp, and unfortunately it comes because of poor business practices from a handful of people from 2B Living. This company is run by scammers. I recently graduated from college and moved out to the bay for a job. I was unable to make it to the area before move in and had to view all properties online / via video. The pictures of the properties are completely different from what youll get in real life. They conveniently leave out the square footage on many properties to hide how small they are. They will lie to you about the condition / safety of the area to get you to move in. Enough time has passed that I feel like a review on 2B Living won't result in retaliation of some sort. I used to live at an address they currently own/maintain. They didn't used to; the building's original owner was still there when I moved in (awesome guy; sad when he opted to sell) and a different property management firm briefly owned the place (it was evident from the get go that they were just interested in flipping it). This is one of the worst move-in experiences I have ever had, We just moved on 1232 East 19th Street , Jasmene Thompson the leasing manager who took care of our application was extremely rude to us during the entire process told us to stop calling her phone when we were just asking for questions about the apartment. every month something goes bad in the building, leaks, parking gates, no hot water. Today is the parking gate that is not working and I cannot access my car. you send messages and complaints, but no answers.

Upon my notice to vacate, this company asked me to stay in the building since I was a flawless tenant. Once it was time for my deposit to be returned, they decided I had caused excessive damage. Completely inept management let the building fall into disarray. They moved their employees into the building and living got worse. Elderly people were stuck in the neglected elevator, the building became filthy, and the city removed the presently functioning garbage area after 2B staff let rodents infest the floor. We have been living in our home for a year and a half, when we moved in, we were told by the tenants that showed the house that the property management company is not great. READ BEFORE RENTING WITH 2BLIVING IN OAKLAND. This review is solely based on my experience living in a property off of Telegraph in Oakland and dealing with the people I've dealt with.
