Aspen started out extremely nice up until the day of the actual installation of my roof. I hired them to replace my roof and asked them for estimate to replace skylight on my shed. My shed wasn't suppose to be covered under my homeowners insurance so I told them I only wanted the skylight fixed from hail damage because I was paying out of pocket. Poor communication. Took 2 months and seven visits to finish. Ive picked up well over 400 nails and staples. The crew even put nails into my firewood stacked near my house. Recommended my neighbor and his house was done weeks before mine. After all this I get a sorry for your experience. Nothing for me putting up with the terrible workmanship or for cleaning up their mess.
Aspen installed a new roof for me a year and half ago. Workers on the ground were hard working and nice to work with. They damaged my Dish satellite but replaced it but after I found out it was busted, they didn't own up to it until they were caught. A month ago I had my house inspected to sell and they noted damage on a small part of the house. It was caused by replaced flashing but Aspen states they didn't do the damage. I had hail damage a few years ago - the shingles Aspen put on sliding off. My insurance said improper installation- nails were overshot. Aspen says they're honoring warranty but patching the roof. Insurance inspector recommended a new roof. Aspen sai when the other shingles start falling off then they would replace them. Buyer beware!! I've been trying to get my roof fixed since May!!!
Let me begin by saying....stay away from this company if you think you may need them to come back to do warranty work.....they put a new roof on my elderly mother in law's home and the shingles were defective. She had a 10 year warranty and after 2 years they blew off and now they have been ignoring our repeated calls. Water is going into her attic, the insulation has black mold, and if we get another company to come in to make repairs, we were told that would void the warranty !! They did fix my roof in a very timely manner and the salesman was very personable until it came time to pay. Once they finished the work he was on me 24/7 to make sure he got the rest of his money. I got the check when I got home from work (6 pm) and he wanted it that very day. He did not believe me when I told him that the amount the check was made out for and the amount that was due was different. Aspen Contracting is a very poor company to do business with, they are full of big words and promises and are incompetent to do the job as promised. It took over 3 months for the work to be completed. The roof was done first and the gutters were completed 3 months and 6 days after we signed the contract. No one called to say when they were coming to put in the new gutters, they just showed up. Absolutely awful!!! I signed contracts to re-side two homes. Unfortunately they started both at the same time, so I was unable to stop them from doing the second home after seeing the results of the first. The work that they did complete was awful and much of it had to be done. I am still waiting for them to finish some work, and now they are not returning my calls or emails. My complaint with Aspen is not the job of doing the roof, but after service with the people that are hired to do the fascia, soffett, etc! They are absolutely terrible.It took two months to get my fascia done. When the guy came to do it, he ruined all the soffetts! Then it took another month to get it done. When they came to fix all they had ruined , the guy discovered 2 layers of fascia! The one was so ruined, but he just put another layer over it!! I couldn`t believe what I saw!
