After reading all the Aspen reviews I would not recommend this practice. It appears they are extremely unprofessional and the charges are way out of line. I would suggest anyone looking for w dentist stay away from any of the Aspen Dental offices. My opinion they should be investigated and if found they have unresolved cases they should be prosecuted and put out of business
I have to agree with all the negative reviews. Every time I go get checked in , there's a problem with my insurance. I always have a balance that i know i have paid for it previously on my last visit. Then I get taken to this small room so they can explain to me how it happened with an attitude. So finally after fixing that issue ( I was right) I still decide to get seen just because I really wanted a cleaning because it has been about 6 months. My daughter was seen in February 2024. They ran my insurance and told me the amount I was responsible for. I paid the quoted amount. January 2025 I get another bill from Aspen. They claim my insurance didn't cover what they expected. I paid that bill. May 2025 I get a third bill from Aspen for more "uncovered" expenses. I tried to call billing to get an explanation but got the run around. I'm wondering when the billing will stop. This has been going on for almost a year and a half! I had a terrible experience at Aspen Dental in Gurnee. I came in for severe tooth pain and, after a long wait and confusion, was told I needed to come back for treatment. I requested antibiotics, but the prescription was never sent. I also had major issues getting my x-rays transferred to another office--despite being told it would be quick, it still wasn't done days later. I wasted time, money, and stayed in pain because of their poor communication and service. I do not recommend this place.
Patient 2nd...money first! I informed them of having tooth pain long before the appointment. I have high dental coverage ince they were aware of that they only saw dollar signs. The appointment was not scheduled without informing me that professional that I needed would not be there. Not only did I experience poor patient care . I experienced needless long wait times while in pain.

From October 2019 until May 9th, 2024, Aspen Dental really took a nose dive as far as all the things that I had reviewed back in 2019. Because of many of my autoimmune disorders being detrimental to my oral cavity, sinuses, ears and eyes, everything dries up. I will need to be going for spinal surgery. But my teeth have gotten so bad that all of them need to come out. My voice is so gravelly that I sound like "Uncle Joe" from "Petticoat Junction"! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! My appt was for an estimate on a full upper implant. I spoke to the receptionist about this. Xrays: I told the young lady I was there for an implant for my upper teeth, did she have to do my lower teeth too? To which she replied yes. Now this is two people I've told, that I was there for implants. Now I'm in the chair, I have to see the hygienist? These people will just not let me move on and forget them. They have once again sent me a bill from months ago. Then I realized that the charges looked familiar. So I pull out previous bills and sure enough I had already paid the billed items. So I go and scan the QR to pay and they realized it had been paid also because balance due was 0.
