Incompetent is the word that comes to mind with the billing staff at this office. I have been trying to pay a bill since Oct. of 2025, and I have not seen it credited to my card. I've called several times, and have been told don't worry about it. Today I received a letter telling me I am in collections and I am livid. Caveat Emptor!!! Run away quickly

The office and staff is very unprofessional. They do not address their issues or problems. Just bill - I had numerous conversations with them and office manager and it goes no where. Contacted Regional Office and BBB appears they send the customer a generic letter. Then you get a call or voice from office manager asking if you need the charges explained to you. The charges were to be reversed - as they stated. Nothing done on their part again. After months and months - nothing has been fixed.

After reading all the Aspen reviews I would not recommend this practice. It appears they are extremely unprofessional and the charges are way out of line. I would suggest anyone looking for w dentist stay away from any of the Aspen Dental offices. My opinion they should be investigated and if found they have unresolved cases they should be prosecuted and put out of business

I have to agree with all the negative reviews. Every time I go get checked in , there's a problem with my insurance. I always have a balance that i know i have paid for it previously on my last visit. Then I get taken to this small room so they can explain to me how it happened with an attitude. So finally after fixing that issue ( I was right) I still decide to get seen just because I really wanted a cleaning because it has been about 6 months. My daughter was seen in February 2024. They ran my insurance and told me the amount I was responsible for. I paid the quoted amount. January 2025 I get another bill from Aspen. They claim my insurance didn't cover what they expected. I paid that bill. May 2025 I get a third bill from Aspen for more "uncovered" expenses. I tried to call billing to get an explanation but got the run around. I'm wondering when the billing will stop. This has been going on for almost a year and a half! I had a terrible experience at Aspen Dental in Gurnee. I came in for severe tooth pain and, after a long wait and confusion, was told I needed to come back for treatment. I requested antibiotics, but the prescription was never sent. I also had major issues getting my x-rays transferred to another office--despite being told it would be quick, it still wasn't done days later. I wasted time, money, and stayed in pain because of their poor communication and service. I do not recommend this place.

Patient 2nd...money first! I informed them of having tooth pain long before the appointment. I have high dental coverage ince they were aware of that they only saw dollar signs. The appointment was not scheduled without informing me that professional that I needed would not be there. Not only did I experience poor patient care . I experienced needless long wait times while in pain.
