I was disappointed in my dental visit. When I called to schedule this appointment I asked for a "dental check-up!" In the past with every dentist I have ever gone to this appointment would have included x-rays (when required), dental cleaning, mouth exam and final review with dentist as to status and future work. The only thing that happened during this visit was 4 x-rays, mouth exam, dentist reviewing my x-rays and visual mouth exam and outlining recommended treatments. NO CLEANING. My daughter, who had not seen a dentist in several years and does not have dental insurance, went in to have a filling replaced. She was presented with a treatment plan totaling almost $7,000 for 2 extractions, lots of perio work, 7 fillings, and a bridge. We got a second opinion from my dentist today. What she actually needs is to have the broken filling replaced, 2 additional surface fillings and a deep cleaning. A few hundred dollars probably. One year ago I went in I got a upper plate the top of line as Aspen would say. I went back 7/11/17 because there was a couple of spots on it that are wearing thin on one side it wore done to a point there is a hole it. Keep in mind TOP OF THE LINE with a 3 year warranty so I was under the impression that it would be replaced under the warranty. Aspen Dental is a rip off! I paid over $5000 for a partial plate, less than 2 years ago. While on vacation in March, one of the front teeth on it became loose. I called them, they said that I would have to come in to look at it. No problem, well, I couldn't just drop it off, they had to do impressions, both top & bottom, plus send it out to be repaired...should get it back in 2 1/2 weeks. We had my daughter's wisdom pulled here, big mistake. They wouldn't schedule her appointment until we paid $1588.00 out of pocket, ok no big deal they had been in communication with our insurance companies and that was "after insurance ". Surgery was done in January. We where overcharged $2088.00. They overcharge one insurance company $500 and us $1588.00.
