Would not recommend Mattoons location due to the receptionist being one of the absolute rudest women I’ve ever spoken with! Hands downs worst customer service.

I went to Aspen Dental in Mattoon, IL May. My tooth was infected so they could not pull it for 3 days. I ended up in the hospital (not due to the tooth) and had to cancel my appointment. My daughter was in the hospital too and had to be there 6 weeks. I never did find time to go back for the dental work. Oct 24th I called to ask for a refund. Dentist and medical staff are amazing! The rest aren’t so great. After being overcharged for services, I keep getting an appointment cancelled because they call while I’m at work to “confirm” instead of just accepting me clicking the button in my emails. Since I silence calls at work, I’ve found out TWICE now that my appointment had been cancelled via a voicemail. One of the times was just hours after I was LITERALLY THERE to schedule an appointment for the next day. Aspen Dental no longer has my business.

Hands down one of the worst dentist offices I have ever been to. Avoid this place like the plague. The employees here are far from ethical and will try to squeeze you for every last dime.

100% do NOT recommend Aspen Dental. They do things without asking and then charge you for it. Then when you and your spouse make an appointment together they say they can’t see them because “machines are down and they called to tell us this” funny because there are no missed calls on either of our phones. Never again 👍🏼 Therefore if anyone is looking for a dentist. DON’T go to Aspen Dental (1011 Charleston Ave E, Mattoon, IL). Saving you time and money 😊

My son had an appointment scheduled for a cleaning at 4:30.. my wife left work early, drove with $5 a gal a gas (an hour round trip) just to be sent away by the rude employee working the desk.. she claimed they would not schedule anyone after 4 because they close at 5. They charge huge amount and then don't follow through with their treatment plan. I encourage everyone to stay far away from aspen dental! They want me to pay out of pocket along with payment plans for things my insurance is covering! Much of bs.

Well, I can’t say much about my experience with Aspen since they cancelled my appointment on Friday through voicemail. I didn’t answer to confirm. My appointment email also states they will use all of my communication numbers/emails. A text to confirm would be more appropriate. Not sure why I didn’t get one. Not sure if they will get another chance! I’m taking this experience as if they don’t really care about service???
