Visited the facility twice. On both occasions Dad immediately wondered off on his own and began making friends. This was on of the main reasons for our decision.
The facility was very plush. More of a retirement community than assisted living, they do meals and transportation and cleaning. She had a good experience there. They have a service where if she is not feeling well they deliver meals. The food was the big complaint. The meals that I ate there were very good, but that was her complaint. They had a little dorm type refridgerator.
My dad has been there for 6 weeks and he loves it there! He is not that difficult to please, but the service and the food are really good. He loves having someone come and do his bedding and towels and vacuum; he is really enjoying all of that. They do have activities, but he doesn't participate, he just likes the idea that they are available should he want them. Tour good, lunch really good, small one bedroom apts, not many two bedrooms.
Staff are very helpful and friendly. Plenty of activities and outings for the residents. The grounds in the front of the building are well maintained but not in the back of the building. Sidewalks need power washing, path lighting needs new bulbs, very little landscaping. The biggest complaint is about the food. Some items served cold (like a cheeseburger!!), portions are very small. You get what you pay for, it's the cheapest place on the market for a reason. Flies are a constant problem. Mgmt. had an exterminator come in to get rid of them all, but they're back in full force, especially in the dining area. To sum up - this place is filthy. The carpets in these cabinets hallways really need to be cleaned, not just vacuumed. The cleaning lady, [name removed], is very nice. She does her best to clean, but there's too much beyond her control due to the deterioration of this place.

All are a (5) except #6 Food. My dad hasn't been happy with the menu options. It is exceptionally clean and the staff is friendly, helpful and pleasant.

The food isn't fit to feed hogs. The owner Grace Mgt is mean toward the residents. We are treated like inmates. The place is infested with cockroaches. The mental condition of most residents is so poor that they require nursing care.
