Get directionsWorst practice. Kind of blackmailers. They declined my wife's long running prescription and forcing us to take unnecessary appointment to approve it. They do it this every six months and force patience to make undue appointment when prescription requires their approval.
Subject: Concern Regarding Customer Service Experience Dear Avance Care Leadership, I hope this email finds you well. I am reaching out to formally express my concern regarding a recent interaction with your office that left me feeling dismissed and unfairly characterized. On 3/27/25, I called the office seeking clarification about your communication process, particularly regarding confirmation calls, as I recently received a letter about missed appointments without any prior notification. While I was simply express... read more
I want to first say that the answering service is very frustrating. Why is that necessary? Before this service I was always greeted by a nice welcoming voice ready to assist but now the person asks questions and is very difficult to understand. I really wish Avance would get rid of that service and go back to using your friendly receptionist to answer calls. The receptionist are much more helpful and easier to understand. It would be a better investment to pay people to have the job of just taking calls than using that an... read more
I was seeing a FNP who was awesome by the name of Michelle MacDonna but she unfortunately left this practice and they refused to tell me where she us. I start seeing Michael Paraella, FNP who is a very thorough and good FNP as well. He's very attentive to detail. My issues isn't with him but with a certified letter that I received from Avance stating that he was terminating the patient relatuobahip due to bad debt. First off, the debt accumulated during the time I was switching insurance policies and once my insurance paid,... read more
my experience with Avance care Knightdale is that no one cares about patient concerns. I have repeatedly called in and asked to speak to a patient care coordinator and the manager about my concerns about my health. No one has called me back about my concerns in the past week.l have only been able to communicate with my probider through messages. You go to a primary care to be able to understand what’s going on with you and it feels like they don’t care.I definitely would not recommend them for anyone primary care.
$390 for one office visit! $360 for unneeded test! DO NOT go to Avance Care!!! Their billing department will hit you with outrageous charges! My son recently had a pediatrician visit because he had a fever for two days, and I told both the nurse and the pediatrician we suspected strep. The pediatrician recommended both a strep test($30) and a virus test ($360, we didn’t know this price until we got the bill). My son was then tested positive for strep, and we got a prescription for antibiotics. After my son did both tests,... read more
Angela is amazing! I have a low tolerance for pain, so I was dreading getting my blood drawn. But she was so good that I actually had to ask if she had even inserted the needle! I’ve never had such a painless experience before. From now on, I only want my blood drawn when Angela is there. Thank you, Angela, you’re the best!
Dr. Ivery is hands down the best doctor I’ve ever had. She actually listens, which is rare, and she doesn’t just tell me what I want to hear—she tells me what I need to hear. I trust her more than any physician I’ve ever seen, and that says a lot. She takes care of my whole family, and we all know we’re in good hands with her. I honestly can’t recommend her enough!
The provider did not follow through with prescription refills. once they were submitted after my contacting the practice, the incorrect dose was submitted. The provider had not reviewed my record prior to my appointment so was not up-to-date on what we needed to discuss in our appointment. I spent most of our time updating/reviewing what we discussed the last time as she didn’t remember. I asked for a vaccine at the appointment, yet the provider forgot to order it. Did not feel like a valued patient during this visit.

Avance Care might be open. It requires an appointment.
