Stumbled upon this by chance and what a treat it was. Fantastic food, delicious food and excellent service.
Fairly average
I was disappointed after reading such good reviews to find that the burger buns were dry as were the burgers themselves. Whilst the cow is butchered once to make its way to the plate one does not expect it to then be butchered again when being cooked.
The food was tasty, but the service was very slow, despite the fact that the restaurant was very quiet.
New Years Eve absolutely brilliant. Great service and piping hot food. Staff so attentive and going at 5pm it was just perfect before the Street Party celebrations. Met the manager outside and he was so enthusiastic about his job and his staff. Will definitely book for my next visit to Edinburgh.

Fab Hogmanay dinner, staff were great, helpful and friendly. Good venue.
Nice cocktails and delicious steal & ale pie. Appetizers were refined and the service outstanding. My friend wasn’t thrilled with her fish dish, but didn’t turn it back to the kitchen either! The waiter replaced a glass of skunked wine with a new one at no cost and with no questions. Definitely a nice meal.
We love this venue for a drink when in town and thought we'd try it for lunch - a bit disappointed. The staff were not as friendly as our previous visits (perhaps just a busy day) and the food was average nothing special that I couldn't have cooked at home. Coffee cup was only half full - when I pay for a cup of coffee I expect a full cup but it comes out of a machine apparently so that's just how it is. Will continue to use for a drink but wouldn't rush back to dine here
