We ate here the last time we were in Edinburgh and loved it, but this time we were disappointed - service was slow, food was mediocre and it was very loud. It was a rugby night which makes us probably think about returning to give it a chance again.
Had the brunch deal! Great value for money. Would definately recommend.
Lovely place, great character, and superb staff. Food excellent on a very busy night.
Our table wasn’t ready for us when we went in and had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes, the very kindly gave us a bottle of wine on the house for our delay. The food and service was excellent.

Decided to book a weekend dinner for a group get together to take advantage of their food bill discount offer in January. I had visited for drinks after work before but had never eaten there. The menu was varied and the food was really good - we were not disappointed - and if you like pies, there are some generously sized ones on offer. Nice surroundings, good service and a very nice meal. We each had 3 courses, coffee and 3 bottles of wine between four of us. No other drinks. The bill was £55 per head which we felt was good value in the centre of Edinburgh. Despite the rugby being on the service was efficent and polite throughout.
