Lovely restaurant with excellent food however service was awful. Asked for a quiet table as it was our wedding anniversary. It was a perfect table by the window, away from other diners however we had to wait 10 minutes after arrival to be asked if we wanted drinks & given menus. Food came quickly thereafter and was beautiful but following main course, plates were cleared and we eventually had to ask for dessert menu. My wife and I had a very special meal at Badger and Co. We had been delayed arriving into Edinburgh but the quality of the service, food and restaurant meant we instantly relaxed. We had a lovely table by the window. Service was attentive without being stuffy with waiting staff being friendly and professional. The food was excellent and very good value.
This was meant to be a date night for my partner and I as he was only home for one weekend. The food was good, tasty and the service quick and efficient. However, we both felt that Badger & Co need to decide if it is a bar or a restaurant. The music was loud, prohibiting conversation, and although I enjoy Fat Boy Slim, Basement Jaxx etc,they do not suit an intimate restaurant environment. Go here if you want good food, and good friendly service. Don't go here if you want a conversation over your meal.
