A lovely place on entry nice decor. Our waiter was also lovely, unfortunately the so called Sunday roast was a different story, beef was very chewy my partner and I had to leave most of it we enjoyed the vegetables what there was of them two potatoes half a carrot tiny piece of broccoli very overpriced at almost £24 and certainly miss sold by the waiter as a roast with all the trimmings, suggest not a good if you’re expecting a hearty roast.

Cozy interior and nice staff. However the food lacked flavour. One of us ordered the burger and it was brutaly overcooked and had no taste. The pie with chicken and mushroom had maybe to slizes of mushroom in it. Overall the food was a dissapointment.

The menu was limited. The food was disappointing - watery pie, boring dressing on the mackerel, and the soup was so watery I couldn't eat it. The waitress forgot to bring the tomato ketchup we asked for, and when she eventually did bring it, she didn't apologise for her lapse. We were shocked that it came to £70 + for three starters and a main. The seating was not great for me - the chairs were the kind that one sinks into. As I moved round to a firmer bench-type seat, the waitress continue to set the table where I had previ... read more

Nice interior. Friendly staff. Food just ok. The chicken pie veg and mash was produced in 3 small separate containers which made it difficult to eat. The pie was just the contents and thin pastry top ( to me a good pie is the filling inside a good pastry case). My husband had the Sunday roast but this consisted of 3 toast potatoes with slices of beef on top (quite alot of fat had to be cut away) small amount of veg and a Yorkshire pudding. We didn’t have starters or dessert. 1 cocktail and a pint of cider total £65. Was a bi... read more

The food was excellent, but the service was awful. Although there were many staff members around, none of them seemed to be doing anything. We were seated right away, but it took 20 minutes for a server to approach us and ask if anyone had been by our table yet, and if we were ready to order. We ordered both our food and drinks at the same time, yet our food arrived five minutes before our drinks. It wasn't even busy, with only four occupied tables in our area and at least six empty ones. I definitely wouldn't go back or rec... read more

I don’t ever feel compelled to leave a negative review. Food was good - chicken appetizer is a must! Hamburger had a funny taste to it, but Ox cheek was wonderful. The service was horrible. I NEVER have a complaint about service - have been a server and understand how hard it is. Our server was gone for 45 minutes after the meal was served. The table next to us didn’t get water for 15 minutes and talked about leaving. Made the entire meal too expensive and not enjoyable. They were not crowded- just nobody paying any attentio... read more

Very rude member of staff - ruined our dinner with his dismissive comments, attitude and his behaviour. 4 dishes not available including 1 to pre-order (goats cheese). Such a disappointment for a family meal. Will not return sad to say.

Gimmicky place, food was not good. Had to flag down a waiter every time to order, to get the check. They had problems with the music where it would go from blasting to nothing and repeated constantly from the second half of dinner. Just generally not the place to go there are so much better places around the area. Do not waste your time.

Server forgot to lodge our order with kitchen . We were patient knowing it was Xmas but after 45 mins complained when nothing appeared . It took another 15 mins before we were fed . We acknowledge that mistakes are sometime made but someone should have noticed us sitting for that time with no food . We were given a discount but staff should be aware what the tables they are serving and identify when things are not right .
