First time visit unfortunately won’t be back sat hour and a half only had a starter no sign of main course so had to ask for bill felt very sorry for the waitress as she was very apologetic.
Nice environment, unfortunately the waitresses knowledge and experience lacked. The attention to detail was below the expectations and that of other tables. Waiter/ bar staff thankfully had more to offer.
Extremely slow service and very cold inside the restaurant
The service was poor. Staff removed plates whilst people were eating. They brought the wrong wine. They also never offered dessert menus until we asked for them- by then kitchen was closed so we missed out. The chicken and chorizo pie was very salty and overall disappointing.
Took over an hour from ordering for food to arrive and then both food order and 2 separate drinks orders arrived missing items/ wrong.
Sold out of roasts by 3pm so we had to go elsewhere. Really disappointing on Easter Sunday
I ordered a chicken pie, the menu has changed since my last visit and so had the consistency of the pie, lots of gravy. My friend had duck, served rare, wasn’t asked if that was ok or not, very difficult to even cut. Not a great experience, haven’t been in over a year, not sure it’s worth another visit
Disappointed with roast dinner after reading great reviews. Plenty of meat however roast pots under done and tasteless, very little veg ( one carrot) and some red cabbage. Good Yorkshire puddings though. Overall bland. Had much better in local pub at fraction of cost. Service slow too.
Been here before and it was really good however this time out the service was poor and food seemed average. I had the Sunday roast which was cooked well but seemed lacking in flavour. They messed up my 5 year old daughters lunch; instead of a kids cheese burger they tried to convince us to take an adults cheese and bacon burger. No big deal; it was swiftly resolved and they discounted the bill without ask. Disappointingly no offer of a second drink or a check to make sure we were happy with the food. All in all a poor experi... read more
