At over £26 for a steak you'd think you would get some veg with it. Not even one potato. Over priced and obnoxious. Why should you have to order your veg/fries on top of your meal??!! The menu choice was sparse and if it's supposed to be a gin place we never saw a gin menu. Won't be back.
Lovely decor, very comfortable seating. Food beautifully presented but both my husband and I found it to be lacking in flavour.
Really understaffed. Waited over 25 minutes to be served. Arrived at 8, eventually got food at 9:20. Starters arrived before drinks and food was fine but nothing to write home about. Lots of apologies about time taken but nothing taken from bill which after being in the hospitality industry, I definitely would have done. Eating with a group of friends visiting from America and unfortunately this experience did nothing to dispel the myth about poor food and service in Britain. We were very disappointed as we had booked a table for a family gathering to have brunch. We booked the table for 11.45 and as we arrived a couple of minutes late we were told that we couldn't have brunch. We left very disappointed, 2 minutes after 11.45am, we would have thought that for a table of 6 that they would have been a little more flexible. Perhaps it should state somewhere that although brunch is served until 12, last orders are 11.45am
Service was extremely poor. Eventually when the meals arrived, two out of four were stone cold and returned. We then had to wait a further 35 mins before the alternative mains we're provided, by then our guests had finished their meal. The Manager did not charge for two of the four mains ordered.
