Not really many choices for a meal, besides sandwiches. Got our plates and silverware and the button of the plates had disgusting old grimy food on it. Waiter was ok. When we told the manager about the disgusting plates he laughed and said "it's hard to find good help. Do you want to go back there and yell at them?"

The bottom of the plate (dirty) should never have happen. The systems in place unfortunately weren’t followed. The relatively new manager you spoke with has learned a valuable lesson. Very mediocre over priced food. This coming from a well established food business owner. Took wife to the now run down looking Tannersville outlets. We accidentally went to the barley Creek at the outlets. We should've stayed there. Emily was our so so server. Over done tater tot golf balls appetizer.... Save your money.... Wife got the piggy flavorless meat burger. We see why you need to put barbecue sauce on it . meh ! would try a diff place . I pretty much never leave a review anywhere , but this place we had high hopes due to other good reviews . we spent 40 bucks on a Uber to get there to & from Kalahari. our thought was we would be in good hands off their campus , but it was super bla service and food . salad was worse than a cafeteria and the nachos were so soggy . maybe it was a bad day .... but not a fan . didn't get to try the beer as we couldn't download the menu and our server seemed like he could care less about anything... read more

Not a fan. Food mediocre. Not worth the prices. Out of many items on the menu. I got the Marsala Chicken. Did not taste any Marsala(tasted like a chicken gravy). And the mushrooms appeared to be from a can not fresh.

Ok, I lived in Tannersville many years ago when Barley Creek first opened. Barley Creek always looked spectacular as it does today, fitting for its location. However back then as a local the food was ok, nothing to write home about. Yesterday my wife, myself and my 26 year old son were visiting the area and my wife said that place looks great, I said well the food was never that good but let's give it a try. Food is great, no doubt. However, apps came out after our meals. A very polite gentleman (manager?) offered us our apps on the house to go, so we agreed (who wouldn't?!) then another grouch of a manager comes over, undermined what we assumed the first manager said, and comps us a pretzel. Sorry to be "that guy" but I expected good service to go along with great food.
Gave it a 2 star rating because of lack of atmosphere. It was dark and very very drab. Booths wseparated from each other and not a a place I would like to go to especially at the start of the holiday season. Food was meehhh! Soup came out cold & food was plain. The service was very nice though!! They warmed the soup up but not heated. Being we were there with out of state friends it was disappointing. If we're in the Pocono mountains for the experience this was far from what we were expecting.

The place looks better on the outside. Inside it looks outdated. Food was overpriced and okay. The staff was very nice and friendly. For where it's located I was expecting better. I ordered wings and a soft drink.

Also on our website you can see the other midweek specials that work for a lot of our guests. I ate here a few days ago for lunch. Ordered the California Turkey Burger. It was definitely not the freshest. I became ill with food poisoning shortly afterwards. It was a long couple of days for me. I contacted the restaurant to let them know that this was the only place I had eaten that day and wanted to make sure no one else would get sick. I did not ask for a refund or any reimbursement, just wanted to make them aware. Their answer was that they were sorry I was sick, but they could not accept that they were the source.... read more
