I'm not sure where to start. Been coming for years. Came in today. Didn't seem too busy. Plenty of tables open and told 30 mins. Ok, fine I wait. Then I go to the bar to get a brew while I waited and not one of the 4 bartenders would even look up at me for 10mins. I left and decided to go to the back bar. Also ignored. Very expensive for what you get and the quality. They charge you something like $5 for a side of fries and don't include it with your burger or sandwich. I ordered a soup once, was supposed to have chicken, had hardly any and was so small. It was embarrassing. Almost $20 for a pretzel. Expensive deviled eggs, tasted crappy. I've gone multiple times and never had such horrible service as we had 7/6/24. Drinks were half filled, asked waitress about it and she told us everything is premixed. Premixed to equal half a drink??? For $14? Waitress seemed annoyed when we asked about the fact that one of our meals was supposed to come in a bread bowl and it didn't. She did remedy the bread bowl issue but it was a disappointing visit.

Hostess wouldn't sit us at a booth bc she said it was not open, then 5 mins later sat people at the booth we asked for. Gluten free QR code didn't work and they were out of gf menus. Food Bland , quite tasteless. Soup came, then 3 minutes after the main courses arrived. Still all meal were tasteless. And the beef was stiff, over heated. I don't recommend. But your waiter Mady was great. Only saving Grace to this place was the sever. She was top quality

I will admit I haven't been here in quite a while but the food was really not good at all. First and foremost I ordered the Mac and Cheese and my friend ordered the Blue Cheese Burger. When we ordered beers there was no price and told 6.00 but it was all of a sudden happy hour and if I didn't ask we probably would have paid full price. Our server was nice but running around like crazy. Then came our food! We used to love Barley Creek, mainly for the beer, but yesterday my son got a beer that was sour and obviously came from a tap that hadn't been cleaned. It was awful, sent it back and settled for a bottled beer from a good brewery. The most discouraging thing was that no server or manager cared enough to ask why the beer was returned. They were busy, but not too busy to take a minute to identify a problem, and try to correct it. And I don't mean taking a few bucks off the bill. I've been here many, many times over the past 2-3 years and the food has steadily declined. Initially it was awesome - I'd eat there 2-3 times in a week when I was visiting the area. Then it was sort of passable - something's ok and others not. Now it's downright inedible. The fish/meat is weird. Pasta so overcooked it's like mush. Salads are bland with bits of brown lettuce.
