My family and I sat down at 5 after a long drive and we were very hungry. The place looked clean, food smelled great, and we were hoping for a good early dinner. After around 5 minutes from walking in, we ordered. After another 10 minutes we watched a few more families walk in, and we're still happy just a little hungry. Staff was extremely rude to my disabled son and my family in general. There was a long wait for a table (45 minutes) and I found a seat for my son to sit down. All of the seating near the hostess was taken by elderly or other children. The only place available was near the bar so I took one stool set back away from the bar. Two bar tenders screamed across the bar at us that he could not sit there but were so far away, I could not explain why. I've eaten here several times in the past and our last visit might really be the last and final. The service was awful, after sitting for a long period of time another server came over to take our drink order because no one had yet greeted us. This made our actual server very upset and she took back the table - the service continued to be abysmal. Hubby and I came here because food pics looked good on Yelp! 1st) it took a minute for server to greet us, but no big deal on that, she was nice. 2nd) Drinks were very good, I ordered Cosmo, hubby ordered Smoked Old Fashion. 3rd) I ordered French Onion Soup & Fish n Chips; Soup was good very tasty, Fish was Frozen dried out and over cooked, got Two pieces should've just got the 1 piece, they were out of Fries so I got the Mac n Cheese , it was disgusting! I came to barley creek to celebrate my birthday. Asked the hostess if there is pizza and was told yes..Also asked our waitress was pizza available and she said yes...told my guests how much I enjoyed it here. Five minutes after ordering our drinks and apps the waitress returned and informed us no pizza today. Needless to say we were disappointed left our order and walked out. Very slow service. We ordered apps and didn't even have napkins on the table. The food was very mediocre. Two of us had the 2oz smash burgers and the burgers were burnt. No flavor. The wings were not cooked well. We ordered honey mustard sauce to dip the fries and the sauce was straight mustard. The only good things were the fries and the beers.

I've been a long time patron primarily due to convenience. The food is mediocre bar food, the selection of drink is limited beyond their house brands. The beers are tolerable, the spirits poor. The only upside is the staff.

First off- Save your time and money. This is a run of the mill, quick service restaurant. Low quality food and service is just ok. The Halloween decorations was the only good thing about the restaurant. We ordered the "famous" beer cheese soup and it is like water with oil on top. My husband ordered a medium burger and it was raw and bloody. We sent it back and it came back just as bad. The meat tasted like nothing. We have never had a burger that tasted so bland. food was ok. ambiance left a lot to be desired. ate outdoors and there were numerous ppl there who disregarded the signs and brought in all of their own food/drink. they were walking around shirtless and yelling. treating it more like a state park than a restaurant. def will not be back if the area is not "policed" to be more appropriate.
