Very slow service and understaffed. Food was either overly salty or bland. Cocktails were not good. The only experience we had was very disappointing. Our server dropped a glass on my partners arm and he ended up with a small cut. She never came back to check on us after that. Overall, the money would have be better spent at another eatery.
Mainly service was not as good as used to… good, and food was not great either. Soup was cold, duck was so dry, taste like left over, got warmed up and served.
Rude and disappointing experience. We had reservations for 7 pm for Barons for my daughter's birthday. Large party of eight--and were 10 minutes late due to traffic. I called to let them know, and they said, "no problem, we have a 15-minute grace period." When we got there at 7:10 pm, they had already given away our table to a group that did not have a reservation--and were extremely rude. I felt like the Jerry Seinfeld episode, "You know how to take a reservation, but don't know how to keep it." We ended up waiting over 45 ... read more
My husband and I were very excited to try this place. That changed as soon as we walked in. I asked for a special table when making the reservation but didn't get one. I sat down and felt like I was almost sitting on the floor, the cushion was so low. The food was the worst we have ever tasted. Absolutely no flavor in any of the dishes. I asked for some soy sauce and the server didn't seem to understand what I wanted. He brought me a small bowl of some sort of chili sauce or something. Food was very mediocre… westernized high end Chinese food… the duck looked good but I’d avoid everything else
We ordered the Peking duck early and asked them to bring it first as we like to eat the duck first. The rest of the food came with the duck. By the time we were done eating the duck, the rest of the food was cold and did not taste good. The server even forgot to bring a noodle dish and then apologized.
I was extremely disappointed with the food and overall experience. The duck fried rice lacked any real flavor or depth, and tasted more like something I could get at a cheap fast food restaurant. The ribs and black pepper beef were tough and dry.
We tried barons, food was average for the cost Just not worth the price.
The food was okay, but not impressive with the price that you are paying. I would expect more. The service was not great… The server was kind of rude and they were always rushing us and tried to take away the soup with 1/3 left in it without asking. With that price, we could have eaten at a restaurant with way better service and food. We were disappointed and probably won’t come back again!
