Highly recommend Dr. Berk and Dr. O'Byrne (no relation to me). Took my nine year old pup to Dr. Berk with a skin issue. He was incredibly patient, thorough, and knowledgeable. Treated my pup with gentleness and empathy. Really impressive care and followup. Went to the Tribeca office to have my pup's teeth cleaned. Highly recommend Dr. Berk. We took my dog here for what turned out to be pancreatitis and Dr. Berk was not only comforting to my dog but also very accommodating to all my questions and did a great job. I'm one of those people that loves my dog about as much as most people love their children and I was very satisfied with the visits. The staff here is also very friendly and helpful. Overall, a great place to bring your baby (or dog if you prefer that).
Simply outstanding. Both of my dachshunds have seen Dr. Berk regularly over the past 3 1/2 years (one has epilepsy and the other has back problems) and he has provided excellent service with a compassionate heart. Not only does he have great bedside manners with the pups, he is also able to provide several options for treatment. A wonderful vet! I've been brining my dog here for two years since she was a puppy and I can't imagine getting better care and service.
Just had my first experience with this vet. I moved downtown from midtown, and I have a bulldog, so he is in the vet frequently for eye issues. The initial cost of the visit was pretty expensive in comparison to midtown vets ($170 as opposed to around $120 from my old vet who was an eye specialist). Asside from the cost, I found them to be very professional, caring and knowledgable. Ummmm wow. The review below could not be farther form my experience. I took our two new puppies to the Battery Park Veterinary Hospital for their well puppy exams after we got them from the rescue group. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They treated our babies like gold. My experience with vets in Manhattan is that all the pricing seems a little (or a lot) inflated but that is the nature of the beast here in NYC. I didn't find them higher priced than anything else I was quoted at other places.
