Our roof failed after the job. I had a certified inspector that looked at the roof. I had a lot of problems with it. I called them, and they said they would not come back. I had to have the man of the house call. The house is not insulated, and it's going to cost me $1500 to have that repaired. When they came back to fix it, they slapped aluminum sheeting and shingles on top. I still need to have the roof insulation fixed. They damaged my siding, and they exposed wood. It's a disaster. I thought a long time on how to respond to this feel back. I take pride in making sure each job is handled on a job to job bases, as each home is different and presents different challenges. I install over 600 roofs each year and work very hard at making sure every customer is happy with our workmanship and quality before we collect. Some times small problems can turn into large problems if things are not handle well, so I am always willing to look at any problems with the homeowners if given the opportunity.
The problem I have is that they have not completely finished it. There is a part of the flashing that is supposed to be copper. Instead of using copper, they used rubber. It has been quite a few months but they have not come back. Our original roofing had a lot of copper on it. When they took it, two people asked him if they could take it because copper is expensive. The follow up was terrible, and the customer service was not good. We ended up with a lot of leaks in the roof. They reshingled our house.
He came out and gave an estimate and said he would start right after the 4th of July. I have not heard from him since. I left a message on his answering machine and asked him to please call. Nothing!! Berg was suppose to patch my sunroom roof.
THEY DIDN'T DO THE WORK WE ACCEPTED A BID TO DO THE ROOF ON 7/14/09, 5 WEEKS LATER WITH NO SHOW NO CALL. FINALLY I CALLED FROM A DIFFERENT PHONE NUMBER AND GOT THROUGH TO MARTY THE SALESMAN. HE SAID HE NEEDED TO TALK TO ME ABOUT WHAT ADDITIONALLY NEEDED TO BE DONE. IT WAS TWICE THE PRICE. I STILL APPROVED. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY HAD TO WAIT FOR A DRY SPELL. THAT CAME JUST BEFORE LABOR DAY.
