It went great! Bryan and Bob were very professional, honest, and pleasant. Bryan took pictures of both the inside and outside of my chimney. He showed me these pictures and sent them to me. I will definitely hire Bethesda Chimney again! I needed my fireplace and chimney cleaned and inspected. I had an Angie's list coupon.
We contracted with Bethesda Chimney to provide an estimate for the repair of a cracked flue as well as a gas or wood burning insert. Bryan (one of the owners) visited with us and was very thorough in the inspection and in explaining the options we had for a repair or replacement. While he was running a few mins late, he gave a call in advance and was apologetic for the delay. We will be moving forward with Bethesda Chimney for the work and will review further upon completion. Bryan was fantastic. He came into my house with covers for his shoes, checked the flue and told me what needed to be done. We discussed having it converted to a gas fireplace and he gave me all the options plus estimates, thoroughly explaining the process. He then went and checked both chimneys that were in great condition as we had them done in 2012 because of the earthquake. He also told my neighbor that her chimney was missing a cap on her chimney. I believe I got a quality job today from Bethesda Chimney. Brian and Bob were competent and made sure every detail was covered. They kept the house clean, explained what they were doing, and the final product looks great. They even cleaned off the fireplace glass doors - I could never clean the black soot off, so the doors are finally clean. They charged exactly what they said they would. Did a good job for the quoted price. There was some miscommunication about scheduling, but I would happily use them again. Our front walk is about 20 steps long, and consists of irregular stones that are mortared together. The mortar was failing.

The tech showed up on time as scheduled. He inspected the chimney and informed us that it was already in good shape and did not require cleaning. And he charged us nothing for the visit (!) I really appreciate his professionalism and honesty. We will definitely call them when we do need the cleaning! We moved into a new house and did not know if the chimney/fireplace was in working condition. So we called Bethesda Chimney for inspection/cleaning.
