Really disappointing experience I recently had Don Beyer Volvo intervene in a repair I took to a trusted local service station. In order for the repair to be completed, the certified Volvo part had to be coupled with a software update that could only be completed at DB Volvo. So I paid for the part, for my car to be transported to DB Volvo and a sum total of $230 for a 10-minute software update to be installed. When the part failed just 4 weeks later, I was forced to take the car to another Volvo dealer in Roanoke (who were ... read more
Terrible. The worst sales experience we have ever had. We were contacted by a salesman after their sister store did not have the car we wanted in stock. We set up an appointment to test drive a vehicle and were clear that we were interested in a specific model, new. We were told they had "several" in stock. When we showed up, the salesperson was busy with another customer, but then for the next 30 minutes nobody spoke to us. No one - even though there were no other customers on the sales floor (this was in the middle of the ... read more
Business response:
Dear NOVABuyer, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and please accept our apologies for what went wrong. In talking with the salesperson who was assisting you (a Volvo and Beyer Auto veteran with over 30 years experience who's certainly not known for giving anybody a hard sell) it was his understanding you were waiting for your wife to finish a sales call to join you in the showroom. Regardless, we're sorry we fell short of your expectations. If you're open to giving us a second chance we'd welcome the oppo... read more
Discrimination I left Don Beyer Volvo feeling very disrespected and discriminated against. I am a young African American Woman. My bank sent an approval letter to the dealership, but I was told I couldn't take the car until I brought my full down payment. This confused three of the salesmen (whom were of different ethnicities) as they see many Caucasian customers leave with their new car in this same circumstance, without leaving a full down payment. The next insult was when "Kevin Buehler", the Finance Manager, told me that... read more
Beware: Incompetent and Unreliable I have been servicing my Kia Sedona Minivan at Don Beyer for 4+ years and still have broken side mirrors and a broken passenger-side sliding door. I have been extremely patient because they always say the right things, but at the end of the day if you can not fix a vehicle you can not be considered a first-rate service center. There is no communication between various departments (mechanics, service representatives, loaner car department) and the consumer pays for that dearly (pun intended)... read more
I did an all cash transaction because I needed my title quick for export. The sales person was quiet new but did his best. His manager was short in his remarks. He lied about when the title of the vehicle would be received. Later phone call inquiries resulted in some terrible experiences. They lied only to close my transaction. My experience was that of being dumped in voicemails. I was lied to. As a result my early payment for the shipment of the car was almost lost, and booking for export was disrupted due to wrong informat... read more
I had a great experience at this dealership up until the point that I had to work with their finance manager, Gabriel Broad. He acts pompous and outright lies about other loan options in order to get you to select his. All dealers do this, however, he does it in a condescending way. When the transaction was complete and I waited for my sales guy to finish with another customer, he just sat there and made a personal phone call in front of me - not suggesting to me that I could wait at another desk for my salesperson. It is a ... read more
Will Hurdle has always been very responsive to my car needs and concerns. He calls to give me updates and an assessment of what work needs to be completed. I'm always offered a loaner car which I need when having the car service. I appreciate the professionalism of this dealer and the employees. Always warmly greeted and accommodated! It's a pleasure to do business at Don Beyer Volvo in Falls Church, VA.
I am looking to purchase a car and visited this dealer. I am looking to purchase a car and visited this dealer. Omar Pinto, the sales consultant, greeted me very nicely and explained the car and the available discounts very throughly. He was clearly trying to give us as much discount as possible. This Kia dealer do not have any hidden costs as he showed me the excel workbook while working through the numbers. There was no going back and forth between the manager to get a better deal and no wasting time with pricing. Omar is ... read more
We initially worked with Basir who was very nice and we were happy to deal with. The problem came when Joey got involved. I have never witnessed or heard of a worse car buying experience. We sat down with him to go over price. We had it on paper. We spent 2 hours there while trying to keep our 2 year old occupied. AFTER we signed ALL the paperwork and the finance guy went to get a final signature from Joey, he raised the price $500 claiming we could not combine 2 rebates. That may be true, but why waste our time and theirs o... read more
