It's was certainly like we found the goose that laid the golden egg! I grew up with Bob's Big Boy, and we've visited the original location as well as one in Honolulu in our adult years. Some places manage to combine comfort, nostalgia, and a delicious lunch all in one place. From the vinyl booths to the diner-counter, to that darn Hot Fudge Ice Cream Cake, this restaurant is a time machine back to the 70s. Our server was definitely an in-charge kind of evocation of the kind of service we used to get. She was very efficient... read more
The burger was pretty good. We got the classic big boy paired with loaded fries and a side of Mac and cheese. The burger tasted like a better quality big mac. The Mac and cheese was not great and looked a little too yellow. The service was great and they had a small diner feel to the whole place.
A classic diner style/restaurant. The big boy burger is a must-have. I have been going here since I was a kid. Our waitress was very patient and quick. When it comes to cleanliness, some remodeling may be necessary, but it will forever be iconic.
Welcome to a blast from the past - right here in Midwest America (Cleveland style)! Big Boy is alive and well with super service while selling breakfast, diner meals, burgers and sandwiches with fries or onion rings - shakes - ice cream - the hot fudge cake and more! This place is clean and convenient and kitschy as can be! Eat well & Be well!
hadn't had Big Boy in 40 years! rocked! that burger was great! and onion rings very tasty and fresh too!
It was clean and food was good. Nothing like the old days of Big Boy, but it was all right.
The Big Boy hamburger was good. No more platter with Cole slaw and fries. Extra $1,99 for slaw and $3,99 for onion rings. Opted for just the burgers and onion rings, which no longer breaded but battered. Awful, fried in old oil. And two iced teas. Came to almost $40......So a bit of appointment...
great service from the hard working staff and simple and always satisfying American food
Was very excited to see a big boy because they have closed so many over the years. Could not resist grabbing a few Big Boys and bottle of sauce to go. Quick service. Large dining area. Big boys tasted fresh and the same traditional flavor. Worth a stop for take out.
