This location is pure crap. Gets worse with every visit. No more. Service is awful food was wrong and cold. Restrooms were terrible. I have visited here 5-6 times in the past and it continues to get worse.
I have visited this location 5-6 times in the past and it continues to go downhill. We sat waiting while the waitress was socializing to take our during order. After she did we again had to wait for the drinks and to take our food order. Two meals came out prior to the third then it was totally wrong. The waitress asked if I wanted to return it but the other two in my party were almost finished so I declined. She did take it off my bill. It was barely busy and food was coming out fast. But too fast. Our family of 6 ordered breakfast for dinner and nothing came out right. Food was cold and tasted old. I have ate here plenty of times. This by far was the worst.
We are huge fans of Black bear and have been to your restaurants all over southern California. We stopped in the Arvin store on our way home from Bakersfield on Sunday evening. We had our 3 kids with us who had never been to one and we talked it up the whole day because we were excited to take them there. My wife and daughter and I were taking my daughter back from los angeles to san Francisco state university when we decided to stop at this black bear location. We were seated right away at 8:45. At appox 8: 50 we placed our orders. Several minutes later, other parties arrived and were seated. Within 10-15 minutes several parties started receiving their food and we just watched. Restrooms not checked or cleaned all day.
So. Quite a few families were looking to stop in for dinner last night. And we were all greeted with a sign on the door that said closed for maintenance. ON A SATURDAY NIGHT AT DINNER TIME! I'm calling bullshit. Cause people were in there hanging out drinking beer at the bar watching football. Paper signs on the door stated closed for maintenance fir people walking in. There were peopke eating and receiving food. One waitress asked the manager if they were really closed and she snapped back YES.
We were coming from southern California on way to.funeral in central California. Decided to stop here and try it out after hearing all the rave about it. We waited 15 min to be sat which wasnt bad. We sat in our booth for 75 minutes!!! Never got food. We kept asking, saying we had to go, and was told it was coming any minute. We finally had to just cancel and go!
