The service was absolutely horrendous and the food was no where near validation for the cost. Shame on you! I will not return to ANY Black Bear Diner.
We were over charged and it was noticed until the next day. I called the store on the next day or two and the number was not in service so I called the district manager James Weaver who was out of town and said the location had been broke into and the telephone lines were cut asked me to call the store again, I did I called on 9/5 and spoke to manager Judd discussed the bill and the over charge, give him the ticket # 40061 and he reviewed it, he took down my information and said he was expecting to get me some bear bucks ou... read more
This was the worst experience at Black Bear I’ve had. We were traveling and stopped at the restaurant in Arvin, where we have eaten before. No one greeted us when we came in, there were about 8 parties waiting. When we stopped an employee they said they would be with us in a moment. The restaurant was empty and when the employee finally returned to the hostess station we asked how long the wait would be and the response was 15 to 20 minutes for a party of two. The hostess could not seem to write down my name correctly a... read more
My family stopped at Black Bear Diner in Arvin on our way to UCLA. When we went inside, several employees were arguing about whose job it was to do what. It was uncomfortable and awkward. When I followed up with another server to ask that my hamburger be well done, she simply walked to the kitchen, which was about 10 feet from where we were sitting and literally yelled at the cook, loud enough for all to hear. Then there was something on the floor by the cashiers' u-shaped checkout area, which was about 5 feet from us. So wh... read more
Ordered tuna salad they were out . My wife ordered the cobbler they served it with out turkey . Isamela was a great server but the store needs a manager that cares. You will be closing this store because you don’t know what you are doing. Sorry just saying
Wanted a rib-eye cooked MEDIUM..after 2 tries of cooked VERY WELL DONE and flattened, we gave up. This happens A LOT at this location, they dont seem to care.
I ate your breakfast with the sausage with the apple. On the way home, 35 minutes drive I became violently ill with food poisoning and had to go to the doctors today because of it. I had to go to the doctors today and am now on antibiotics because of the seriousness of the case. I am reporting this to you in order that other consumers don’t get caught like I did.
I ate at the Black Bear Dinner at Wheeler Ridge at the bottom of the Grapevine in Central CA on the interstate 5. I ate a breakfast with Apple Sausage. I experience terrible stomach pains and diarrhea when I got home. The drive was about 35 minutes. I passed out two times. If you can tell me who to contact at this location I would appreciate it. I have never had any issue with the Bakersfield location. This was the closest I could find. It was not busy. I question if the sausage were poorly reheated. They looked co... read more
We arrived at the Black Bear Diner near Tejon outlets around 10 AM.....we were a party of 5 and it took half an hr just to seat us.....we placed our order and waited 25 minutes and still had no food....we asked the waitress how long the wait still was, she said another 15 minutes as there was an issue with orders being printed.....at this point we canceled the order. We were traveling and this was just a set back on time, not to mention wr had to go elsewhere and order food to eat...the waitress told us not to worry about dr... read more
