Stopped by the Arvin, Ca. store on our way home from S. Cal. My wife ordered oatmeal and what she got was more soup than anything else. When we told the staff one said that is the way it is, the waitress then took the bowl, poured out the excess fluid and just put in more oats. It was not appetizing at all. I ordered eggs and bacon, the eggs were cooked but just barely warm, but the bacon was good! I have eaten at other Black Bear Diners and always were happy with our meals, not at the Arvin store.
I was racially profiled by my server. Rosa. I was called a white dumbass. I didn't judge her or any of her coworkers.
My wife and I first experience Blackbear in Idaho Falls and it was great. Having traveled up down California we would always look out for Blackbear especially for breakfast. We were happy to hear that Blackbear opened a diner in our city of Murrieta, Ca, and of course started to give our business and were pleased especially with your Valet parking. This location is pure crap. Gets worse with every visit. No more. Service is awful food was wrong and cold. Restrooms were terrible. I have visited here 5-6 times in the past and it continues to get worse.
I have visited this location 5-6 times in the past and it continues to go downhill. We sat waiting while the waitress was socializing to take our during order. After she did we again had to wait for the drinks and to take our food order. Two meals came out prior to the third then it was totally wrong. The waitress asked if I wanted to return it but the other two in my party were almost finished so I declined. She did take it off my bill. It was barely busy and food was coming out fast. But too fast. Our family of 6 ordered breakfast for dinner and nothing came out right. Food was cold and tasted old. I have ate here plenty of times. This by far was the worst.
We are huge fans of Black bear and have been to your restaurants all over southern California. We stopped in the Arvin store on our way home from Bakersfield on Sunday evening. We had our 3 kids with us who had never been to one and we talked it up the whole day because we were excited to take them there. My wife and daughter and I were taking my daughter back from los angeles to san Francisco state university when we decided to stop at this black bear location. We were seated right away at 8:45. At appox 8: 50 we placed our orders. Several minutes later, other parties arrived and were seated. Within 10-15 minutes several parties started receiving their food and we just watched.
