I have been to several black bear. Diners from california throughout nevada. This was the worst food i've eaten in one of the diners ever. The diner itself was clean and nice. The waitress was awesome but I don't recommend did chicken fried steak? It tasted like it was overcooked in a microwave along with the heated up. Corn bread muffin. The whole problem of that was hard as a brick. And I just ate at the black bear diner in Fernley. Nevada, last week and they were the best I've ever ever ever had. I do not recommend the ca... read more

Went to Black Bear Diner for the first time since the pandemic this week and it is definitely still one of my favorite places to eat. We were seated almost immediately, food came fast, and everything was delicious. (I had the pot roast and my kids had the chicken strips) Our server was Twyla and she was so attentive, fun, and made the overall experience great. Definitely recommend the Black Bear!

I always have a great experience at black bear diner. The customer service is always so welcoming, friendly, and such a family setting. Today was my first experience after the COVID shut down and the staffing was slim but very efficient, accommodating, and fast. Helena was our waitress and she is always so welcoming and understanding. Even with the chaos of coming back to work after such a weird time she never let her smile, demeanor or customer service fall. Absolutely great experience, one of my number one choices in town!... read more

I'd like to start by saying I enjoy your restaurants and 99 percent of the time you guys nail it but this time was a horrible experience that leaves me debating on dining with you again. To start the lady at the cashier was horribly rude she had a bad attitude and didn't want to deal with people today apparently (not a big deal I know customer service sucks to work in), I placed an online order for pick up at 2 I ended up leaving at 230 the lady said the kitchen was backed up (no big deal it happens )finally got my food and ... read more

My mother & I went today (had to leave last week as they didn't have staff to wait on people on Father's Day!) We had our Free Birthday Breakfasts & honestly, they weren't worth the price of our coffee. The service was slow, the food not cooked properly, waitress never came back to see if everything was ok. Overall my 4th very disappointing visit to this particular Black Bear. How unfortunate! More of my food was on my plate that in my belly when I left.

Met with 5 family members. Restaurant was basically empty, stated that no one was being seated because the cooks got behind. Waited 30-45 minutes to be seated. Waited over 90 minutes to get food, which they brought out one at a time over a 10 minute period. Food was great, the service and overall experience was horrible. We eat at various Black Bear Diners and love them.

Had to wait 30 minutes to just get seated, then waited , 15 minutes to get our waitress to take the order then it took over 30 minutes to even get our food order to us.. the pancakes were not hot, just barely warm. The homestyle potatoes were hard as a brick! The whites to my overmedium eggs were runny. Like, not cooked. The ham steak had grissle all around it.. whats up black bear diner!? You seem to be falling. Carson City diner at max casino is not like the black bear that me and my wife ate at in sparks.. bad experience ... read more

We are extremely disappointed after trying to dine at this location. We have dined at your diners in Arizona, Utah, and Idaho. All were great. However, this diner gives you a black eye. Two nights in a row we have tried to eat at this diner. No one to greet you or seat you. Tonight several tables were available but we were told 30-45 minute wait because they had a party of 14 to serve. Locals told us service was getting poor & 4 waitresses had quit within a week. Others waiting in line also left. A restaurant chain such as ... read more
