In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. Being from OH, We'd never of this place. But it was excellent in EVERY way. Friendly staff, neat atmosphere, family friendly, excellent food, generous portions, reasonable price, and excellent desserts. Did I leave anything out? If so, it's excellent too!

Love the Colorado blackbear, was in colorado visiting family and i had to show them what blackbear was all about. I work at the gilbert Az store :) Had a wonderful visit with wonderful service
