Our waitress was extremely inattentive and disinterested, and needed us to repeat our orders several times, even though it was not that noisy. Left out part of my meal and then let something get added to my friends plate that we specifically asked not to be in her food. Took forever to get a seat, forever to get our food, and overall was sub par. Just go to Randall's or another local place next time until black bear gets their act together.
So I've tried to give this restaurant a chance on 5 occasions since opening. This morning I went for breakfast. After watching the table next to us finish eating (they came in after us) and me still without food, I tried to stay patient. When the food came, it was luke warm to cold. It had gravy on it. Even the gravy was cold. Which means it all got made and sat and sat and sat before being brought to us. The fifth of five terrible experiences. I will never go back. I stopped in at 7pm as an alternative to Taco Bell after 9 hours on the road. They didn't have the first 2 things I ordered which was a disappointment since I don't eat out much. My food took a really long time which I thought was odd, and my server was hard to find. However, when I did get my food it was delicious, hot, and worth the wait. I doubt I'll be up that way anytime soon, but I would so in again if I had time for an extended meal and not in a hurry.
45 minute wait for actually disgusting food. My salad arrived in a seriously HOT bowl. The lettuce was very warm and right away the lettuce wilted and dressing melting. When I told the waitress about this being served very hot, she said they sit the plates under heat lamps or it was right out of the dishwasher. I wasn't asking "why" my salad was hot!, I was served a hot salad. I was so not happy. My parents had less than appetizing plates as well. We could not believe how BAD the food was.
