So I left a note about then I getting food at Smart & Final. Where they get their food from Cysco; their company had a big strike over the weekend so that's why they had to go buy elsewhere. *I have a friend that works at the diner at a different black bear, that's where I got the info.

Cozy, great service. Chicken fried steak benedict was excellent. Includes generous portion of hash browns and side of fruit.

They have gotten way better since they opened, removed one star for not knowing who the waiters were as every waiter/waitress dressed differently! Food and service was great.

The staff us nice. Easy parking. The chocolate dessert is really REALLY good. Decent prices as well. A good low key dinner place that us not a rushed experience. A good place for us.

Words cannot truly express how great of an establishment Black Bear Diner has been over the years. With excellent quality ranging from friendly staff to delicious food, I always come back to black bear for a cozy meal shared with friends and family. Even with a group of 10+ coming in with no reservation, black bear always seems to make accommodations comfortable for all. And don't get me started on the price for portion size, just truly incredible! Thank you Black Bear for serving the people of the East Bay!
