Service was good. The food was not good. I had the triple play and the ribs was not delicious and meat is still tough, normally meat should be sliding off the bone. Onion rings from Jack in the Box was better. The fried chicken was cold in the inside and had to make them replace for a new plate. The replacement plate was still cold. We just got back from eating dinner. Decided to try since finally was not overly crowded when looking at the parking lot. First off, they did mention that they were out of kids menus so at least we were warned our 5 year old would be bored waiting for his meal. Service was ok, but the food was below our standards. My husband's tri-tip was too chewy to swallow, my burger was so thin I could not taste the meat with such a huge bun, and I really believe my son's macaroni and cheese was made from a box mix I get in the groce... read more

I thought the waiter that served us was a really nice person. Our food was good (taco salad w/beef and the Smoked Sausage Scrambowl). Unfortunately the cooks never made my pancake to go with my meal. I will go back to give them another chance and hope they'll have it together to complete my full meal.

I have been to this location 4 times since it opened and have only had 1 decent experience. The first time, we waited over an hour after being told that it would be about 20 minutes. No problem, we saw that it was busy. However, when I checked with the hostess, she stated that we were on last call because they had been calling my name. I was waiting in front of her the entire time, she basically lied to me rather than admitting that she bypassed my name. 2nd time, it took almost 20 minutes to get a refill on my drink so by ... read more

Went the other night for dinner with my kids. It was not a good experience, will be quite a while before we end up going back
If there are potential customers waiting in the lobby when you arrive, GO somewhere else, the staff is content with that, and will treat you like your existence there is a bother! Probably not the same feelings of ownership, but they appeared to not be around, my group of 8 went somewhere we were at least recognized, we suggest you steer clear of Blank Stare Diner in Elk Grove!
