My husband and I were hungry for a hamburger and decided to give Black Bear Diner a try. We were not at all disappointed. We hadn't ever been to one before and didn't know what to expect. We were graciously greeted by Houston, 'no problem there' and seated within seconds. Houston was amazing - super friendly and fun. Ambiance was fine, the food marginal - had breakfast and the biscuit was huge - like 3 times the normal size, dry and unpleasant to eat. Service was okay, nothing special.

My husband had the tri-tip dip that was delicious. I had the combo tri-tip 6 oz and jumbo shrimp with mashed potatoes and green beans that was delicious. The only issue is the meal took 45 minutes and 1 waitress for the whole restaurant. It was a Sunday but they need to make sure they have enough staff.
