Over the years while traveling out west I became familiar with the Black Bear Diner's in Ca, Nv & Az. and made it a point to eat there whenever possible. They were always clean well managed friendly staffed restaurants that served large portions of fair priced delicious American Comfort Food! Everything from soup to nuts! Breakfast all day long too! Great service and food. Loved their mimosas! There is always a wait for a table but worth the wait. Highly recommend!

The waiting process is pretty long.. granted the times we have come have been on special events like Mothers and Father's Day.. past times we were given 2 hour wait time! We left but today she said 35 min we ended up waiting an hour and like previous reviewer said with kids just sitting in the car this isn't the funnest.. anyways we decided to wait it was our first time here and food was good. Lots of people it's busy but everything came out hot..

Our family has really enjoyed our visits. The food is great, atmosphere is great and the service is pretty good. The only reason they are getting dinged is because they do not offer the ability to get on the waitlist ahead of time. Having a family with young children it is difficult to sit in our car and wait an hour to eat, when other restaurants have adapted to the times and embraced technology to speed this process up. The food was amazing. I had salmon with mashed potatoes and it was absolutely tasteful! Such a good ambiance too. Not too noisy. The service wasn't that great at first. Our waiter was really rude but we requested a different waiter and it was fine afterwards.
today was our firs first time eaten breakfast in this place,my son love the theme bearer and the food was delicious the prices are affordable.
Ate brunch menu. Very good. Service was excellent. Ambiance was cheery and well lit.
My daughter, grandson. & I went here for the 1st time today. I had seen these every time I went to Houston & just never stopped so decided to go try it since it's right there. I ordered a Patti melt. It sounded so good because it was going to be in rye bread & it was ok, a little dry for my liking. My grandson ordered kids pancake in the shape of a bear & tore that up & ate all my fries.
