Diner vibe with subpar food. Tried breakfast once and dinner once. Can't say I'll be returning. Service was great though.

It is busy for a reason. Good food at fair prices. We were amazed the first time on the size of the biscuits. They are huge as they come. Only thing bigger is the omelettes and biscuits I like a lot of items for breakfast there and will be Back. We live 25 minutes up i 35 in Robson so we must go there when we go to the COSTCO or HEB.

I have been here three times now for breakfast. Love all the bear decor and the menu is a newspaper pamphlet with lots of interesting facts about the diner. Service has always been quick and friendly and the food delicious. Portions are big. I will be going back to try lunch.

We arrived at 9 am on a Wednesday and the dining room spotless with about 6 tables occupied. I figured I was arriving at the end of a workday morning rush. The portions were gigantic for breakfast. So big I felt the need to let Stephanie, our waitress, know how good the food was even if it looked like I barely touched anything. The selection was typical American diner fare with some delicious sounding twists on classic dishes. We will definitely be returning for lunch or dinner and requesting Stephanie's expertise as our wai... read more

After multiple attempts, I finally made it to Black Bear Diner. The decor is awesome! Carved bears everywhere. Most with a little added humor. They have gone to great lengths to put the bear theme in every inch of their restaurants! A huge menu, with a partially open kitchen, so you can't see the cooks hustling to keep everyone happy. I want to try the tri tip steak and shrimp, but it's not available on the weekly lunch menu. So, Rueben it is! I love Rueben's, and this is a really good one! Sandwich was wonderful, but the fr... read more

We went last night for dinner on a Friday night, glad we were finally able to try it out and not have it be packed. The service and staff was great we were seated right away and our waitress was super sweet and helpful. Let's talk about the prices!! I was blown away to see such great affordable prices especially for the kids menu 4.99! You can't beat that these days, my daughters ordered the grilled cheese and chocolate chip pancakes both great size plus after 11am they get either a sundae or strawberries as a dessert. I ord... read more

We were there this morning for breakfast. My wife and daughter ordered a plate that they were going to share with each other. my daughter asked for no tomatoes since she is allergic to citric acid. Well, their food came, and my daughter started to eat the food and found some tomatoes in the food, so our waiter came over and asked if everything was okay and we said that there were tomatoes in her food. He then went and got his manager. She was the best manager we ever had come in contact with at a restaurant. She apologized f... read more

Wowzers. The biscuits are on steroids and amazing. We've tried a few different dishes and they are out of this world delicious. Great little set up. We usually do first available seating even at the bar area because that place stays packed and if that doesn't tell you something then I don't know what else to say. Service is always fast and definitely worth a try even if you have to wait. It's definitely worth it.

We came for dinner and the diner was packed. The sandwhich and burgers are pretty solid, as are the pies. The waffle was fluffy and delicious but the chicken was so incredibly salty that they were not edible. Overall average service, and food is not bad but not great.
