Our son had never been to "the bear place" and was very excited about his first trip. We looked at the menu online before going, and little guy decided he wanted the cinnamon apple french toast sticks. He was so excited that he told the hostess he was having it as she seated us! When the order came out, it was not how the menu described it at all - it was merely one slice of plain French toast cut in half (not in "sticks") with no cinnamon seasoning and a sliced apple. Service was good. I had chicken and waffle. The breading on the chicken breast came off. The flavor on the breading was good. The waffle was good. I would order the waffle again.
Not what it used to be. Service was mediocre at least. Table for 3 had one complete set of silverware. Had to ask for more and also for straws. When food finally came, it appeared to have been under a heat light for too long. I ordered the pot roast which typically comes with potatoes and carrots cooked with it. Instead, I got dry mashed potatoes, overly thick gravy with an artificial taste, and a few small carrot pieces. We weren't happy that their menu is different then the Black bear diner on Bell.I daughter loves the restaurant but she always wants spaghetti ( she loves it so much we get the adult platter for her). We were shocked this time to find out that she couldn't have it and It wasn't on the menu. Found it odd that they would not have it when their other location does. Other than that service and food was good.
