In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. This new location is as good or better than any Black Bear Diner. Always clean, excellent service and top notch food. Not in small part I'm sure due to the coordination and team building found in every BBD I have visited. Kudos to this team and manager Mr. Taylor (who I first met at the BBD in Bullhead City).

Service was excellent. Food came out fast. Hot and delicious. Happy staff. Will definitely be back.
My daughter treated me to breakfast last weekend. Food was great and service was super. Seating was limited on a busy Saturday morning so we chose to sit at the counter. The waiter took our order immediately and served us as well. Thanks and we will be back soon !!!!
