I've come to this location twice now which is a lot for me as I haven't been to a Black Bear diner twice in the last 10 years. Anyway this location is newer in which they took over the old Coco's. The food is good quality as compared to most sit down diners using mostly pre-made and frozen items, or at least I didn't sense those items with the food I ordered. Joe's Hobo Omelet - bacon, sausage, and ham with cheese, spinach, and onion. I asked for no onion and added avocado. Good omelet and not super filling even tho it's... read more

J was an absolute pleasure to have as a server. She went above and beyond. I know I can be quite picky and a little needy but she handle it very well. I even made a joke about it and she laughed with me about it. Because of her I will be back, making sure to ask for her section!

Been here a couple of times, all waitresses are really kind and helpful. I was never looking for a server, they checked in regularly which was a plus! BIG PLATES, I didn't expect my order to have so much food and all for a decent price. Will coming back again, very satisfied.

We have been to other Black Bear Diners in Elk Grove and Tracy, and I have to say this is the best run out of all of them. We went on New Year's Day, and even though they were slammed, we got in quickly, and the service was fast. Our server was "J", and the food was great with the biscuits to die for. J did such a great job with her bubbly attitude even though she had to work on this holiday. She was so attentive, being right there when we needed refills or whatever we needed. We're so happy to have Black Bear in Lodi! Defin... read more

Yay for a new place to eat in Lodi since Chili's is really going down hill! Great food and huge portions, so far so good. I've always like the other Black Bears I've been to and this one is great.

This diner recently opened and this was our first visit. It was nicely decorated for Christmas and we really enjoyed the bear decor. The food was fantastic and plenty of it! My husband and I both took home enough for lunch the next day. Our server, Arabella was very sweet and answered all of our questions. Their prices are comparable to other restaurants in the area. You won't be disappointed!

Been there a couple times now. Very very loud, with screaming children. Still much better than other BB's I've been. Lots of tacky logo items for sale in lobby. The food is quite good. Huge menu of American favorites. Both large and small portions are offered. Plenty of staff.

The diner was what I thought it would be! It lived of to the standards of BBD! The Corned Beef Has was good, the "country potatoes were average! With all that being said, the poached eggs were OUTSTANDING!!! I will be going back, just not my first option!

Food is always delicious! Never really too packed when we come here. Service is not the best but good enough.
