The wait for food, Ruben sandwich & Bears Choice breakfast was over an hour! The waitress was nowhere to be found - when she finally came to check on us, she was all sugary nice, but no apology for the long time away & no explanation for long wait on food! Asked for water without ice & got ice water! Asked for extra sauce on the sandwich & finally I just got up to go get it myself! I don't blame the kitchen. This waitress was just not doing her job! Nah this is crazy lmao. This having 4 stars is so on brand for the RGV. Look the service is fantastic. Always wonderful. But ambiance? Food? This is literally Denny's. Like literally probably same parent company. Imagine rating dennys a 4.

Bad service, cold coffee,over cooked food.never again. People just like this place because of the big portions. And the food took forever to come out.never again

Don't waste your time. Food took forever to come out and then the biscuits and gravy were cold. On top of that, we ordered avocado toast and it was burnt to a crisp with them attempting to hide the burnt toast by spreading the avocado more than necessary. It took nearly as long for them to bring out the redone plates and with no apologies. It was so disappointing. The redone plate was still burnt and the manager tried to make excuses for it!

Don't waste your time coming here. Service was super slow. Waited an hour for our food to arrive, and it was cold. Portions were super large. Wish we could have enjoyed it, but the wait and temperature prevented it.

We arrived at 1030AM this Tuesday morning for breakfast. The parking lot and restaurant were less than half full. The grumpy maitre told me they could seat me but couldnt serve us for at least 35-40 minutes!! I specifically came at this off-time because I read complaints about long wait times for seating AND food, but this is ridiculous. Why dont they just close up shop? GO ELSEWHERE IF YOU WANT TO EAT THE SAME DAY!!

Wait staff was very pleasant BUT we left after 30 minutes and no food! Apparently one of the cooks was out - we should've been told when we arrived so we wouldn't have wasted our time! Coffee was on the house which was a small consolation- Frst and last time there.

Before ordering, I asked if the CFS was fresh beef breaded on site. Her response was "yes". It was A frozen pre-breaded bad hamburger Patty that was cold with bad gravy as well. I requested crispy hash browns that were cold and not at all crispy. The biscuit was burned as well. When I told the waitress it was it was a frozen pre-breaded patty, she said, "Oh is it, I'm sorry", and walked away swiftly. I REALLY REALLY wanted to like this place, but I can't . So, my spouse and I get there. There's a 25 minute waiting. No problem, it's Monday, it's early and at noon this place was packed. So, when we get called, I'm flooded with memories of living in the mid-west. I love the cabin feel. I was pretty happy and excited being there!!! But this happiness was short lived.
