Before ordering, I asked if the CFS was fresh beef breaded on site. Her response was "yes". It was A frozen pre-breaded bad hamburger Patty that was cold with bad gravy as well. I requested crispy hash browns that were cold and not at all crispy. The biscuit was burned as well. When I told the waitress it was it was a frozen pre-breaded patty, she said, "Oh is it, I'm sorry", and walked away swiftly. I REALLY REALLY wanted to like this place, but I can't . So, my spouse and I get there. There's a 25 minute waiting. No problem, it's Monday, it's early and at noon this place was packed. So, when we get called, I'm flooded with memories of living in the mid-west. I love the cabin feel. I was pretty happy and excited being there!!! But this happiness was short lived. Food was fast to come out. Waitstaff is sort of attentive. My eggs were over cooked as I ordered over easy and they were between over medium and over hard. Waffle was delicious as well as the bacon but oh my these hash browns... crispy on top and damn near raw on the bottom. Nothing special here. Take your business elsewhere!

Food substandard. Kitchen is slow. Service is poor. Been there twice. First time my order never came out. Second time, fried chicken was cold and hard. Not going back.

I was pretty bumped with my experience at Black Bear Diner because of all the hype around it. I had seen many amazing reviews and TikTok videos o Black Bear Diner so when it was my turn to choose our daily brunch spot from my friends and I, I suggested here. I regret it. Here where some good and not so great things from Black Bear Diner. There was a lot of parking available so that was good. The restaurant was packed since it was around 2:00pm. Food was really good, I'll give it that. My family enjoyed the actual food itself. But good god, the service is actually terrible. The waitstaff seemed fine and at first, very responsive to taking our orders and giving refills. After almost an hour wait time to be seated, my family ordered and waited an entire 45 more minutes for the food to come out. Totally a breakfast place! Had lunch and was not impressed... The coffee was very tasty and the waitress very polite! If I had to choose between this restaurant or Cracker Barrel (cb) .. lunch for CB
