Service was okay. Food was good, other person I went with got the wrong item, they replace it with an attitude.
Visited this place that I have seen all over California and I'm glad I stopped here in McAllen. The breakfast was delicious and the portion size was huge! Everything had great flavor and good texture and taste. The service was above average and the waitress took care of us pretty well. The ambiance was good. It had the feel of a diner in the northwest part of the US. I will definitely be back to eat Black bear diner here in McAllen or as I travel through California
What a unique experience at the Black Bear Diner! Our server May was very attentive and knew a lot about the menu. She did everything right as far as super service! She was descriptive and knowledgeable about the brand! She had a pleasant attitude and made us feel very welcome and comfortable which I think is very rare to be blessed to be seated in someone's section who cares about your dining experience! Waiting time around 9am for 3ppl was about 5mins. Customer service was great, respectful and attentive Meals were served within 10 mins of ordering Kids meals: chocolate chip pancakes w/ whipped cream, fluffy buttery Egg Benedict (creamy sauce, avocado, bacon and spinach on top of English muffin) flavorful!
Service has been excellent and the food is prepared well. Tasty as well, and then there were the desserts. Soon just coffee and pie oh my my.
Delicious! Great customer service. The staff was very accommodating and kept checking up on our table. The food was 10 out of 10. Big portions. I definitely recommend and will be returning.
We went for our first time Friday night. I had driven by and liked the look of the diner. The restaurant is very clean, the selection of food is fantastic. The quality and taste of the food is incredible. I've eaten many Rueben sandwiches and this was the best Rueben I've ever had! Our waiter, Oscar, and the manager Art were so welcoming and friendly. This great restaurant will be one of our usuals now
Great food and excellent service! Peter was a wonderful server. I got the blackened salmon with a potatoes and green beans! So good.
The service! Pedro was great! It being our first time at BBD he explained everything and was patient with us. Will definitely be back and request Pedro.
